my brother’s wife bought a house 2 years ago for 120k cash. its worth 200k now. its insane. the house is decent but its not worth 200k.

Go to local contractors and ask about a helper position. The trades are so busy it should not be too hard to get in. You can do all your learning on job and pick up tools along the way.
