I forgot to include in my last post that I thought Twan was going to go commit some sort of extreme act of violence, like their friend's son in the second season. He's an extremist, young, seething with hatred against American and the Russian spoiled kid. Now, he's not home at 3:00 AM.

the scene with Henry made me realize just how cold and robot like Phil really is. The way he was struggling to understand that Henry just wants to go to a good school was eye opening. I mean at least Liz can reach Paige on a human level, Phil seems so withdrawn from everyone not Liz and even she doesn't get to see who Phil truly is.

lot of old faces reappearing in this episode and Gabe meeting Martha :ohhh: Interesting

Martha did pop up once before - I'm pretty sure it was a shop Oleg walked into, while she was looking at the shelves like :picard:

They were both ready to give Tuan the hands:lupe:. He was definitely a proxy for Phil's issues with Henry in this episode.

This season has more to do with the psychological toll its having on Phil, Liz seems to be getting stronger, more dedicated to the cause because she's bonding with Paige.

Beautiful Mind Henry gonna end winning a Nobel brehs :wow:

Phil going "do you not want to live here anymore? :sadcam:" was very telling. Same as the "oh shyt" face he had when Henry was looking like Paige when she made them tell her what they were. He has no fukking clue what is going with his son and it eats him up.

This season has more to do with the psychological toll its having on Phil, Liz seems to be getting stronger, more dedicated to the cause because she's bonding with Paige.

I think Liz is in a strange place right now. She's getting more and more vibes that the Party is doing or looking for the same fukked up shyt the US is. I think she's seeing less "good vs evil" as the big picture as before.

Whole season has been slow as molasses but this last episode was torture.

I fukking loved this last episode. A bunch of call backs and great acting. I could sense the dread/doubt/sadness/anger of every character. There was no scene wasted.

The scene with Martha and Gabriel was hard to watch, from Martha as a naive, even foolish woman, awash in codependency and low self esteem, gaining sexual excitement, pleasure, companionship, security and intrigue, at the cost of becoming a bitter, jaded, entirely alone woman, with no friends, no family, and the seething clarity that she was used, because she was weak, vulnerable, and is now nothing to anyone.

It was good seeing Martha again, even if she was in such a terrible place :sadcam:. I bet Russian is a bytch to learn as well.

Nice to hear Nina brought up as well.

"Was an officer. Now he's a picture on a wall." :wow: Oleg on the harsh realities of war.

That had to be the most speaking lines Henry has had in an episode. He's come a long way from Hit em up Henry when he was smashing beer bottles over pedo's to protect Prayer Book Paige. Dude might be turning into Harvard Henry now :jbhmm:.

Another Kimmy appearance :ehh:. The Centre got Phil running like 4 or 5 operations, in addition to his travel agent cover job :skip:. Barely knows his own son and they trying to drag his daughter into this mess, no wonder he is ready to bounce:hubie:.

Binged the new season. Glad to see the show has returned to its former greatness after that last season which I still think was boring as hell. New season is dope minus a few things. I thought episodes 1-4 were great, 5 was ok, 6-7-8 seemed like mostly filler and 9 was cool. One thing that bugs me is how the creators said the show would end on their creative terms and not because of lack of ratings, but a lot of the subplots are being sped up like crazy. Gabriel retiring, the Liz and Ben relationship, Hans getting capped, the Paige-Matthew fling or whatever. It's clear they're trying wrap things up now that the show will end next year. I also feel like there's a bit too much shyt going on this season. Still, I've enjoyed this new season as much as any TV show I've watched recently and there's still 4 more episodes to go. 5 star thread. :salute:

Finally caught up to the season. I like it, acting is still top notch and I am curious to see where it goes

Great episode...the last 5 mins were top notch and the Pastor might have to get got now :demonic:. What he wrote doesn't lend himself to be someone who is going to keep a secret for much longer. At least Paige seems to be in the Family Business once and for all, Phil & Liz might even make her pop the pastor like Michael did to Sollozzo & the dirty cop :damn:
