Good point, guess he was just street smart enough to know the truth on some Omar didn't kill me so why would he kill Prop Joe over Butchie's death. Omar would know Prop Joe wasn't behind it and thus he had no reason to kill him and I guess he figured Cheese had to have something to do with it based on how he was acting. Though wasn't the word out in the street on the show that Omar was behind Joe's death?

Also I wonder how did Slim Charles knew the connect and was able to set up a meeting with him :jbhmm: Was he able to pay Marlo for the connect on his own? In the end you only see Slim talking to the connect.
Like Slim said if Prop Joe would've snitched on Butchie, Joe would've put himself at risk because he also came up off Omar robbing the shipment too. Remember Joe wound up charging the co-op 30 on the dollar for the shipment after Omar charged Joe 20 on the dollar to get it back. Joe wasn't gonna dime out Butchie and put himself in that

Slim is an assassin/killer. Omar got the drop on him and pressed him about Prop Joe....and let him live after Slim had already resolved himself to dying.
Omar also let Fat Face Rick live after getting the drop on him. The guy Cheese was pointing his gun at. Omar let FFR know that he didn't kill Joe or Hungry Man.

Slim and FFR knew that Omar didn't kill Prop Joe. And that Cheese was lying.
I know FFR knew because when he asked him if he killed Joe, the way Omar reacted was clear he didn't have nothing to do with Joe so I know Rick knew. It's not as clear how Slim knew but I guess he would know based off his encounter where Omar had him at gunpoint and the fact Omar let him go and just putting things together in his head.

Chris feared Marlo. The jail scene where Marlo batted up everyone in the cell for mot telling him about Omar proved that. Marlo was a killer as well. He put one in each breast of Avon's chick before he popped her in the mouth. Took on those kids in the last episode. They made Chris out like he was ex military, but he feared Marlo.
False

After Marlo finished his rant when they held court in lockup, Chris' entire demeanor was absolutely unwavering.

"I still don't see the boy snitching." Like: "Anyway, like I was saying..."

When Chris was keeping that Omar shyt from Marlo, he was protecting Marlo from HIMSELF. He knew that Marlo who is so sensitive about his rep would put himself out there exposed against Omar on some "High Noon" shyt.

Plus, Chris' ego had something to do with it as he wanted Omar for himself. That's why Chris' reaction was bittersweet when Marlo told him about Omar's death.

Just finished the show and damn, I got a few comments y'all and I would like to discuss it here.

First off it hurt my heart to see dukie become the new Bubbles and Michael become the new Omar :mjcry:

Secondly is it me or did it seem unlike Mcnulty to make the decisions he made in Season 5 when it came to the fake serial killer thing. I mean I get he wanted proper pay so the detective can investigate real murders but he always seemed like a police who fought to solve the cases against all bullshyt. He did bend the rules a little but the fake serial killer thing was pushing it, I just knew he would pay for that shyt lol.

Then again he did disobey Daniels and Daniels got him off the boat in season 2 so I guess he always had that trait and the serial killer thing was just a new low for him :jbhmm: I can't believe Lester would join him either.

Also last but not least, why did Slim Charles shoot Cheese? Did he know Cheese set up Prop Joe's murder? Did he just want the connect for himself?

When McNulty found out about bodies death, he was enraged because he felt responsible for it. Carcetti was having trouble balancing the school and police funding. McNulty knew this and took it to his advantage. To keep the Stanfield case open he had to fake that serial killer. By any means to take out Marlo's crew who murked Bodie

just finished this a few days ago, this show so intricate it really might be GOAT(im a sopranos stan)

Season 5 was a chore lowkey to get thru but it was nessacery. I never realized how bad carcetti looked making all these promises and shyt just to have things barely come together at the end.

Alma:scust:

nikkas said Marlo had no swag and its hard to not see it:mjlol:

Season 2 & 4 got the best intros to me.

Why would he feel responsible? I do remember he was some what fond of him with the whole entrapment defense he used when he was locked up.

I get he did it so they could get some extra funding and be able to solve those murders but faking a serial killer. It was a stretch he would do it and Lester would join in being as intelligent as he is.

Because McNulty asked pearlman to release Bodie after he vandalised the cop car when Bodie found out about lil Kevin. McNulty didn't see Monk in the area when he convinced Bodie to hop in the car to give him a ride. The same night, Bodie gets murked because marlo thought he was snitchin.

McNulty knew wassup when he found out the next morning. The streets always talk and McNulty knew it. If he just left it alone, Bodie would still be locked up.

Still? No way! In 2020?

Also facts breh, thanks. It's one of my favorite albums of all time.
People aint just stop doin drugs cuz the years went by. The war on drugs hasn't been won anywhere on earth. Projects may have been taken down but the problems just move to other areas. Thats one of the main themes David Simon conveys in most of his shows.
