The Mac Miller /Pharrell project called Pink Slime that they were working on. Only 2 songs wound up dropping from it

Drake's first national performance on the BET awards

Was that the one where he performed sitting on a stool becuase he just tore his acl or something. If it was, the performance of Every Girl in the World by Young Money was terrible :heh:

Old School Players to New School Fools
Master P biting every concept in hiphop culture ever & making a worse version of it. Yet building an empire from that biting. Every year thats forgotten, especially now while NL are in the limelight again.

Swizz Beats awful production history based on the plaudits now. I mean think how Timbo and Dre could make anybody sound good. Swizz is like the opposite.

Too Shorts old 5 star discography before his commercial 'whats my favourite word' track.

Camp Lo kind of birthing Jay Z's flow post Jaz O's originator influence.

Kobe's failed rap career and single with Tyra Banks:mjlol::mjcry:

Allen Iverson's album getting shelved andaand rap career deaded because of pressure from NBA after '40 Bars'

LL's sitcom 'In The House'...ran for 4 years and never talked about or seen in syndication

Wu-Latino

World According to RZA supposed to be a series of albums. First one was European artist, others were supposed to feature different continents

How in the world is "In The House" not in syndication tho...It still makes no sense:mindblown:

Jay Z being the reason why Kanye got the Time Magazine cover below:

1101050829_400.jpg

^^^ Kanye became one of the few Hip Hop artists on a Time cover. Jay Z was supposed to be on this cover, but he pushed for Kanye to be on it instead. This has been forgotten and the narrative that is pushed is that Jay did nothing to help Kanye.

Mase's "Lookin At Me" being an introduction to The Neptunes. Most consider "Superthug" by N.O.R.E to be the introduction of the Neptunes, at least in the Hip Hop sense despite "Lookin At Me" being a bigger song.

Speaking of The Neptunes, their first credit as The Neptunes was on Total's debut in January 1996. Many don't know this.

Pharrell wasn't always a solo producer, yet since 2013, Pharrell is referenced for everything Neptunes and rarely is The Neptunes as a whole mentioned. It is almost always Pharrell.

WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE SUCCESS
HES HAD AS A SOLO PRODUCER
IT LEADS ONE TO BELIEVE HE WAS
DOING ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING.

Then they are being misled, because you have to consider the following:

1) Neptunes were on fire 2000-2006 then suddenly they weren't anywhere as near dominant. The hits started to dwindle

2) Pharrell's In My Mind was dope, but it wasn't successful

3) Hell Hath No Fury vs. Lord Willin. When "Grindin" dropped, it shook up the world. Nothing on HHNF had that kind of impact.

4) It wasn't until "Get Lucky" (a song that only features Pharrell, but people think he also produced, but didn't), "Blurred Lines", and "Happy" that Pharrell really blew and people started crediting him solely for EVERYTHING including the work he did with Chad as The Neptunes.

There was a point where people said Chad was the mastermind. Neither was the case as both were integral parts of the Neptunes sound and when comparing Chad and Pharrell together to the production they do solo, it is empty as something is missing.
