Who's they and how are they trying to make him like 2pac? Tupac was getting charged with sexual assault 5yrs into his career.

They're literally nothing a like.

Bro this phenomenon is not secluded to rap, no one thinks it's fun to blow their brains all over the bedroom wall either but Kurt Kobain is still immortalized. I lived it, this Pac love you talk about wasn't present on the East Coast until post mortem #Facts
So what your saying is the east hated pac nooo , from family is rochester orginally they love pac its only certain places where nikkas wernt feeling pac during the east vs west just like the majority ov the west wasnt feeling biggie :francis:..... N like i said certain nikkas loved pacs wildness and the media its just he got himself caught up into situations that were way over his head ...:yeshrug:..

I agree he wasn't anymore pro black than them HOWEVER he did become the voice of the youth. It's a role you get by saying real shyt in a manner that makes people walk around following your view point and echoing your opinion. KENDRICK DOES NOT have it like that, never will. Face had it,so did cube,Pac, Nas and others. These young nikkas ain't feeling Kenny like that.
Thing is yeah pac was spitting some real shyt then other times he would be contradicting himself anyone with sense knows not to follow a nikka like that cause wen he interview stops pac sometimes was doing the exact oposite ov what ever real shyt he was spitting :snoop::deadmanny:... Cant truly take someone like that serious if we keeping it 100 .... None ov them rap nikkas are anyone to follow if we keeping it 100 all do real shyt mixed in with entertinment shyt.... Just senseless fools who would truly follow a rap nikkas word cause half the time you dnt know if they just saying it for the attention or been serious :russell:...

Meaning more of these nikkas out here want to be like them, feel what they're saying and follow them.
Kendrick has as much political power as the Baha men
Noone wants to be like rick ross been a exposed ex c.o trying to be a drug-king pin .... At least kendrick never claimed to be anything n is just real with who he is ...

So, you're trying to discredit Kendrick because from your worldview the younger generation and the streets aren't trying to emulate him, they're not feeling him, and they're not following him. BECAUSE from what you've seen and who you know, they want to be Young Thug, they feel Rick Ross, and they follow Future, right? And that says something negative about Kendrick? :ld: Seems like more of a knock against the younger generation and the streets than a valid criticism of Kendrick. Unless them nikkas you mentioned are making some serious statements/impact in their music, I don't see how their "political power" is worth anything. From the little I know of them, they're generally rapping about hustling, making money, chasing bytches, getting high, and being famous. That's literally the majority of their subject matter, right? If that's all you care about, I guess your argument holds weight and quite frankly you can have that. :mjpls: I just think there's more stuff to care about. And I think there's a lot more people from the younger generation who care about those other things than you care to admit because it messes up your argument. And I think they (and other generations) actually like Kendrick (or at least appreciate his position in the game) because he's making a statement about those things that a lot of rappers rap about but he's also covering some other subjects that are important or at least giving you a different perspective or a different package than what's the norm.

Respect, I can never say the entire east coast but a lot of popular DJs of that era weren't showing Pac love and I remember the mix tapes at that time were pretty anti Pac. I remember a major shift after death.

As far as Kendrick, I don't try to label him since I don't know his plans and reasons behind his actions. Thy sometimes seem too scripted but perception is truth and it gives good music exposure. Why can't we just support him and ride off his energy instead of attempting to knock him down with our jealousy. Even if his intentions aren't genuine I have a 8 year old son that I'd rather build with off Kendricks music and vibe rather than explain to him that Fetty Wap doesn't own a Pie making business with his girlfriend in Trenton

People forget Pac was only 25 at his passing. Of course he wasnt perfect and was learning like we all are, but dude was special and a "once in a lifetime" human being:

There's no doubt in my mind that had he lived longer, he would have went on to become one of the greatest black leaders ever
