It's the sound of an entire continent - it will be :mjlol:

Afrobeats has been around for decades. It's only recently become mainstream largely due to the African diaspora. Maybe it won't be mainstream in the US in another 5 years, but the top artists will continue to tour and sell out shows globally.

Do people think consumption of entertainment starts and stops in America? :russ:
Anyone that travels knows that Afrobeats and Latin music get played HEAVY across the Diaspora because of the massive dance culture over there.

It’s one of the main reasons why Burna Boy first crossed over in the Caribbean and Europe first.

America caught onto Afrobeats last, so the perception is that it’s new.

But I’ve seen and experienced it overseas YEARS prior.
The Diaspora is bigger than the US.

There’s a HEAVY dance culture over in the Caribbean, Latin-America and Africa.

Add the Black Diaspora living in Europe to that list and it makes even more sense.
Europe is flooded with Black people because of slavery and colonialism. (Cities like Amsterdam, London and Paris are the best European cities because of this imo.)

Bad Bunny’s concert sales and interactions are a reflection of what’s happening over there on the ground at the parties. ALL the baddies love Bad Bunny.

The global success of Bad Bunny and Burna Boy (Afrobeats to a bigger extend) is a testament how humongous and popular dance culture is in Africa, the Caribbean and Latin-America.

Their concerts abroad were some of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had in a while. Definitely recommend if you’re into dancing
Add the fact that Nigerian Pidgin and English-based Creoles are mutually intelligible, because of the many African words that were retained in the Caribbean.

Afrobeats isn’t going anywhere and that’s okay.

Multiple Black genres can coexist, I don’t see the issue.

Black Diaspora parties are the best party experiences to have.

I'm not furious about the topic. I'm furious about you babbling nonsense. Seeing nikkas babbling is irritant :dahell:

Byron said it in an interview and the shyt was all over twitter when Talibans II was revealed - and your initial post that I quoted was that "Burna jacked his song" and then you just started babbling and pivoting to random shyt. nikka stop and breath and think about what you're saying.

you've just said "because a major artist asks you to inject their album with your hit doesn't mean you have to do it" EXACTLY - that's what I've been saying all this time. The guy that made that song reserves the right to have Burna on his shyt or not, it's on him to weigh what makes more sense and he opted to go with Burna - How does this translate to "Burna moving funny - he jacked that taliban song" - Are you high? :dahell:

Why are you arguing about Burna wanting to help people out? Who said that? See, more babbling about random shyt. Burna's directive is to look after his interests just like that Byron Messia's directive should be to look after his
So you're agreeing with me that burna boy is trying to ride the wave of that song for his own benefit. The rest of your post was unnecessary

this is what you said:

He's been moving funny lately

I heard he jacked that Talibans song from the original artist and put it on his own album

and I told you the taliban dude wanted Burna on the song - and they made part 2, and ever since you start angling like a hoe - talking about ilovemakonnen and all kinds of other weird shyt.

hold this neg for taking me on this short bus special fakkit

And I said that just because the lesser artist thinks its a good look by giving a bigger artist your song, historical fact has proven otherwise, and I posted examples

You're deep in your feelings over burna boy of all people. Hopefully when you become an adult you'll learn to stop swinging from that man's nuts

Where did he said "Black Americans don't have culture" ever? putting words in his mouth. Dude was saying Black Americans should use Africa as a base like Asians and Latins use their backgrounds as a base. It's scary that Pan-Africanism would never survive for the new generation.
Pan Africanism didn't work

It's been 100 years breh

Nah, this was from seven years ago
You’re talking to dudes who are washed, stay inside, and don’t have a pulse of what’s poppin’.

Snap-era, and blog-era rap was focused on men dancing in groups together smh. Even the rappers nowadays are madd feminine.

Like Dancehall, the focus is back on the ladies. Afrobeats caters to women. Makes you wonder those who hate are likely gay or don’t be at any poppin’ functions.

You live in Denver Colorado. You don’t know anything about how shyt shakes globally. And I guarantee I’ve been to more countries than you.

I live in Denver, grew up in Brooklyn/Queens with a focus on dancehall music and dancing.

Partied in throughout the city, Toronto, Jamaica, Miami, Abuja, and Lagos. Been to Caribana Miami/Toronto, Afronation Miami, RollingLoud Miami, Day n Vegas, Lights On festival, Dream WKND(Negril), Weddy Weddy(Stone Love), etc.

I don’t care how things shake globally outside of those places + London, Brazil, and Portugal.

We even brought the vibes to Denver…nothing but positive energy
