when i say it i'm a hater.. even the top artists say it has no substance. It sounds the same :manny:

And when last did HipHop n RnB have an ounce of substance?? We still talking of the 90s as the last great era of Black American music..

And thats not what substance means, substance means lyrics not beats..so since you cannot speak (I assume) any African language how would you even identify substance?

Burna unfortunately now having to pander like a fool..heard he had to shout out MLK and Malcom the other day. :mjlol:

Typically men are logical, and not operating on emotions....
I used to think this when I was younger, maybe because it’s parroted a lot.

But the evidence proves this shyt ain’t true in enough of men to keep saying it.

nikkas will shoot a cat over some petty shyt. Dawg will get so irate and let emotions overwhelm that he’ll do it in broad daylight in front of cameras.

The number of DVs we get….

There’s whole political campaigns based on influencing men’s emotions :mjlol:

We can no longer (and probably never should’ve) say “typically” men move with logic over emotion.

There's a lot more emotional men than women out here. Majority of crash out activity is caused by that...men in their feelings. We just used to think it was tough but I've learned to see through that shyt. People that want to fight and shoot about everything and show anger, act impulsively and lack control. Those are all emotionally driven people. They dangerous and volatile.

It’s an Afrobeat album what do you expect it’s a niche genre mostly listened to by black people.

I didn’t like Burna Boy’s “I Told Them” album at all.
He been losing his sound and core fanbase after African Giant tryna pander to other markets.

It happened to Davido too.
He talked about it in an interview how he realized it immediately and spun the block to his original sound and dropped “Fall” and “If”.

I love Black Diaspora collabs, but they need to sound natural like

• Nas x Damian Marley collab album Distant Relatives for example
• Beyoncé x Shatta Wale x Major Lazer - ALREADY
• Davido x Chris Brown - Blow My Mind

Even that recent Talibans II song feels wild forced.
I know Byron Messiah suggested the collab, but the original Talibans song is WAY better and was already sizzling hot and didn’t need a collab with Burna at all.

Burna needs to go back to the drawingboard and holla at Kel-P to lock in, because he’s lost creatively imo.

To be fair, Burna didn't say anything about Aframs not having a culture and even though I know what he was trying to say in his point, he was still wrong. Burna a young'n though, he better read up on Fela:whoo:

“It was incredible how my head was turned,” Kuti told the New York Times in 1987. “Everything fell into place. For the first time, I saw the essence of blackism. It’s crazy; in the States people think the black power movement drew inspiration from Africa. All these Americans come over here looking for awareness, they don’t realize they’re the ones who’ve got it over there. We were even ashamed to go around in national dress until we saw pictures of blacks wearing dashikis on 125th street.”

>Fela Kuti and traditional African religion

So then tell that to the millions of people who came together, organized, and thorougly celebrated the brother Kool Herc and the genre's 50th anniversary last week instead of bashing fukking immigrants on the internet. Yall stay thinking your hate movmeent little internet role play is "waking people up" but your just attention starved white-aspiring clowns no one is taking serious. Good.

sorry, it's a false date and people who were there (including Herc) know that date is:comeon:

Kool Herc himself
