So T dying, was pointless because just like every other black person they kill they have no clue how to make them have a meaningful impact before there death. Its like they have them around for a long time, have them go through things and then its well someone has to die and it can't be ryck, carl, carol, michonne, glen or daryl.
T had alot of room to become a powerhouse the show needed, or the constant level head the show needed. Instead he dies randomly in a house helping someone that is brand new to the cast. His death would have meant alot more if he would have died earlier on or protect or retrieving the baby.
His acting was top tier this ep though, better than it has been since he joined.
I posted my post above and then read yours right after. You basically said what I said, but more simply. Yeah, they don't know how to give anyone any type of meaningful impact unless it's them getting bitten, and devoting some time on the episode for them to process the fact that they're gonna die. It's kind of weird. And yeah. They can't kill off any of the main crew, so the rest are kind of expendable. But I really think Tyrese had the potential to be a powerhouse, just like you said. Coleman is a great actor and you've already got a template for a strong Tyrese character in the comics. It's not rocket science. He can a male counterpart to Michonne in terms of "muscle" for the crew with a cool back story to go on top of it (NFL, etc.)
I think it was a mistake taking him out so early. If they really felt like the needed follow the T-Dog rule and kill a black character, Gabriel, Noah, and Sasha are all weaker characters, but Gabriel and Noah are both new to the show, so I guess they don't wanna kill them off yet? I don't know.
