Y'all had the likes of Olandis Gary, Reuben Droughns, and Tatum Bell putting up 1,000-yrd. rushing seasons.
Hell, Mike Anderson was converted from FB to RB, and even he did the same.
That Zone Blocking Scheme of Alex Gibbs allowed damn-near ANYONE to eat.
I ain't know you fukked with sports bruhVideo game play styles took over sports
basketball- 3’s and dunks rule
baseball- homeruns are king strikeouts out don’t matter
football- passing and going for it on mad 4th downs
Look at the last 5 champions, none of them had a top 10 back on the roster.
You can’t help if your kid is 5’10-6’1 with a stocky build. Some ppl and just built to be running backs.Start teaching your kids hands drills and learning a complete route tree. Unless you're the next Jim Brown or OJ Simpson getting paid large money as a back is over.
Ruthless how the modern game has almost entire wiped out the feature back.
Remember back in the 90s when even fullbacks would get touches?
Game has changed so much since then.
the rb position was the premier position in the beginning
the push to elevate the qb always had a racist vibe to it
pay rbs for production

I agree with @010101 . I think the easing of the passing game and further protection of QBs helped make the league more of a QB driven league to keep white audiences more interested. As a result, passing became more efficient than in previous years and made the running game less important. You're correct it was the premier position but time has shown that RBs are replaceable and splitting carries is the way to go. Broncos showed us hints of this 20 years ago and over time its proven to be true.
Gonna see more of these dudes turn into Cordarelle Patterson/Deebo SamuelsYou can’t help if your kid is 5’10-6’1 with a stocky build. Some ppl and just built to be running backs.
I hate it, has made the game less appealing to me. Bring back the Featured Back NFL!
That would be hard to police though. You would just get RB’s getting tossed out like $1 store shyt after that 3rd year with no one paying them and moving to the next draft pickI think running backs would benefit from their initial contracts being capped at 3 years, unlike now where they're 5 years for a 1st Rd pick and 4 years for non 1st Rd picks
Also, it'd be good if they could not be tagged or tendered after the 3 years.
