Cleveland traded the best catching prospect in the bigs for Brad Hand. That's setting a high bar and I wonder what we would be able to get for fam.

I need to see the deals. I hate speculating where deGoat is gonna end up. As much as it would kill me, I'd move him.. but you're gonna have to pay. And pay handsomely.
I'm still a believer that if the Mets brass gets their heads out of their asses, we can build with a few tweaks to the lineup. And a trade or two.

Looking at it from the outside, and not as a Met fan.. I think I’d want the Mets to trade him too. They see how much of a shytty franchise we are. Why would they wanna see any great player waste their prime years in a team that has no idea how to get out of its own way?

I agree with this, minus trading deGrom, but even that I would be open to for the right return even though it pisses me off to even think about losing deGrom. If the owners aren't gonna pony up the money to build a real team around him then our only hope is to trade for prospects and hope we get lucky as fukk with all of them hitting their stride at the same time.
It's bullshyt, but with the wilponzis as owners, this team will never be a sustained contender. The wilpons are too cheap to pay for it and if the last ten years are any clue they don't give a fukk at how much the team loses.
Man these past 2 years have been the worst in my experience as a fan. Lderson was a tremendous failure. As much as I want deGrom on the team goint forward, we need to trade him ASAP. Like breh above said there's no chance we have anything close to a championship contending team in time for 2020. Our top farm guys/young position players are of the outdated AL variety. Lethargic, swing for the fences, no value outside of their slugging. This team has neglected defense and athleticism for so long (despite evidence of modern winning baseball proving otherwise) its disgraceful. So glad Lderson is done with this team. Our only hope is the new regime instills the proper baseball philosophy. To hell with that moneyball nonsense.
