They attempted to sabotage Tariq Nasheed’s new movie.

I'm not against it being a thing but why do yall feel it's "needed"? Cause it seems like the "need" stems from this supposed onslaught of people claiming others created hip hop, but no one was paying them any mind until he started bringing it to ya'lls attention.

It's a campaign to stoke controversy and a "need" for the product. In otherwords he literally SOLD you the movie before it was thing and anyone that played into it sold to to themselves and others. He does this with virtually every film. Remember all the gay talk and controversy leading into Buck Breaking??? We "needed" that movie too and for some reason they're still gay as ever :jbhmm:
I’ve settled with the fact that you are a complete idiot. I was trying to fight it before

It really shouldn't be this hard to answer the question, especially if there's a "need" like yall are saying. I've already laid out the history and patterns from previous "needs" and the product he inevitably sold ya'll. Why are these things only a problem when Tariq gets ya'll talking and concerned by them??? I'm not asking a lot here.

nikka, stop it :mjlol:

Stop what? He clearly was just repeating what almost everyone else was repeating w/o doing their homework. After he ditched his overly Pan-Africanist outlook, he did his research and found the truth. If you go back in time ON THIS VERY BOARD (way before FBA or ADOS was a thing), many Aframs on here thought those old HipHop origin stories were true too, before they started seeing REAL facts.

Yea, a man who made several dvds going against the grain on what people were told (Hidden Colors) now was "just repeating w/o doing" his homework. nikka, sit ya sheep ass down and don't quote me no more. Y'all sassy following dikkeaters starting to annoy me.

Naw, nikka. Tariq been did plenty research, he didn't switch gears a couple years later because he learned some new shyt. Miss me with that "ohhhh he just learned..." bullshyt. Son a snake oil salesman and shifted for prifit. You a NYer and you supposed to be smarter than that. You making the town look bad. Get off son dikk.

I doubt Tariq did any real research on HipHop's history until recently. A lot of what Tariq and many others are doing now was triggered by that that Fat Joe & "Latins" 50/50 claim.

He did research and boldly claimed Hip Hop was started by Jamaicans. And he did it as a old nikka. He started being anti-Black when he figured out it would be more lucrative to him. You embarrassing yourself in here.

Dude, "Hidden Colors" wasn't about no HipHop sh1t. At the end of the day, you're in your feelings over the messenger but the truth of the matter is, his message in this instance, is correct and the facts/receipts are easy to provide!

The thread that started it all! (2012)

Dude, you're the one crying over a position put forth by Tariq that's easily proven to be correct.

This would imply that his claim to fame: The Hidden Color series, was likely rushed thru without proper research. I mean the whole idea was "This is what they don't want you to know" and now yall view that same info as indoctrination.

That was just the moment to capitalize and build the campaign... I get it with YOU in particular cause you seem like a real history buff/major so this is your lane, but how others can't see the same damn pattern being played out at this point is beyond me. I gotta thank God sometimes for raising me along side another true hustler so I could recognize game.

That doesn't answer the question, being welcomed is one thing but brehs keep speaking to the "need" for the film and its starting to sound like a captive audience.

It would've been just as welcomed 5, 10, 15 years ago just like any other documentary but no one was saying we "need" it back then. Just like no one was saying we "need" Buck Breaking. It's almost as if we conventiently "need" whatever he's hawking at the moment.

no there is a purposeful push by mainstream media to not acknowledge Black America in the formulation and origin of the culture of Hip Hop. Tariq has a keen sense to recognize the tea leaves and call this type of stuff out.

Not just that, apparently Kool Herc (Jamaica) and Grandmaster Flash (Barbados) had nothing to do with the creation of Hip Hop either.
They didn’t.

This has been disproven several times.

Kool Herc didn’t originate or innovate nothing.

What they are responsible for is taking our culture to white people because everybody knows how much tethers love them some white folk.

You got up under some Jews repackaged our culture and sold it back to us.
