So in your scenario SEA would get the #2 spot over NO?:lupe:
If GB SEA and NO win out, yes. NO has a worse conference record then both GB and SEA knocking them to 3rd seed and playing at home vs MIN.

That mean yall would be facing philly on the road. Easy win for yall :manny:

U are correct,i forgot SEA loss today :heh:

They would have a worse record then both GB and NO so they would be the #3 seed

but if all three finished with the same record, head to head dont matter. NO would be the lesser seed in this case

No, that’s still not right then.

Again, NO and Seattle played earlier this year and NO beat them back in week three, 33-27

They have the tiebreaker if it comes down to same record right?

Seattle’s dreams of getting a bye are over

when it comes to 3 way ties, head to head is not a deciding factor. Say SEA actually won tonight and all 3 teams finished 13-3. NO would be #3 due worse conference record, GB would be #2 due to SEA have a better record due to common opponents. head to head only applies when its between two teams only

Ok I’m gonna have to call my NO and PeLaker brother s@NOSaintsFan02 and @nawlinsnfinest to confirm that, cuz I being that Sea lost to NO, all that common opponents and conference record stuff goes out the window. Just like how currently even though we had the same record as Seattle, due to the fact they beat us slides us down from #1 seed to WC.

I mean I hear what you’re saying but if it comes down to any kinda tie, I just don’t see how Seattle takes the one over NO.

Hell matter fact didn’t when we lost our bye and Seattle took our spot, wasn’t NO slotted to the 1, Seattle to the 2, while both of our teams fell to the WC?

My bad, if I’m wrong I’m wrong!! :hubie:
But that just don’t seem right :patrice:

No that didnt happen. GB stayed #2 while SEA and SF swapped between #1 and wild card prior to todays games and NO stayed #3.

here's the rules for a three way tie....

Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format.)

  1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the two Wild-Card participants.
  2. Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
  5. Strength of victory.
  6. Strength of schedule.
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in conference games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
  12. Coin toss
step 1 is wiped out because all 3 would finish first in their divisions.

Step 2 is wiped out because head to head is only applicable if all 3 teams faced each other. SEA and NO faced each other but GB didnt play either team. There for head to head is out the window and it comes down to conference. If SEA had won, they would have a conference record of 10-2, GB 10-2 and NO 9-3. NO gets bumped down to the bottom.

but all this shyt is irrelevant now because SEA lost today

:snoop: are you trolling right now

That game only matters on a 2 team tiebreaker. On a 3 team that goes out the window. I know y'all ain't seen the offs in 6 years so this is uncharted territory right now

Seattle has problems with the Cards at home. So the loss isn't surprising.

What we do know is Seattle plays the Niners like it's their SB. Their fans especially can't sleep when they play the Niners.

So no matter what seed they are. They will play the Niners like it's for a ring. I mean they don't have many so I guess that's why they act that way.:yeshrug:

It really don't matter what seed GB ends up. They still an easy win if the Niners play them:yeshrug:
