QB pay is the biggest scam in the league and it continue to be so unless we get two consecutive SB winner with below average QBs winning less than 30 milly a year

What these performances tell us is teams need to slow the fukk down on paying QBs mega dollars. Just cuz they have big deals does not make them elite or great.

Burrow in the category with the other 15. But yes, there's 3 generational guys and then there's the next tier of guys who need help and can't do it all on their own. That next tier is still going to get paid though, because teams aren't going to be willing to walk away from a Herbert, Burrow, Purdy, Love, Goff, Hurts, Stroud so they can roll the dice on a Levis, Pickett, Lance, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Daniel Jones thinking they will chance into a Baker or Darnold.

What you're paying for is stability at the QB position. The success of this rookie class after a long spell of garbage might change that calculus a bit though.

I think QB pay is scam because there's not enough players that truly justify their cap hit. They just get 50M+ because that's what the GMs and agents arbitrarily decided it was the floor for a starting QB of a playoff team. Which is basically 20 million more than any other top playmaker in other positions.

breh you know I was always pounding the table for not paying the qbs but the supply is so short you have to invest in qbs nowadays

now the top 3-4 truly elite guys need their own payscale and all...but the scarcity is a real problem nowadays


kickers are the opposite. you can literally find kickers doing civilian work nowadays and they will kick 50+ fgs. so it makes zero sense to invest into - either drafting or paying a kicker anything beyond like the minimum

qbs...the trend is its harder and harder to find a starting qb outside of the first round. brock is an anomaly. guys like romo arent gonna go undrafted anymore, they will be picked in like 2nd at the latest

you can easily get a WR in the 5th and he can be amazing for you. cant say that about QB anymore. the position is super top heavy and if there are only 10-15 guys to do it on acceptable level, the scarcity raises prices

Weird hearing Maiocco say we don't invest in the OL when Center was a key position for Shanahan (got Richburg, then Mack) and he only settled with Brendel because he was cheap and Mack's retirement left the team without any real options at the time.

He also completely whiffed on Ulbrich
