If you don’t get it now, you never will.

Very typical that you lay out this empty blanket statement with plenty of opportunities to explain yourself. Anytime you had a chance you played victim. If you cannot properly articulate my words or yours then it's better that I let you live this delusion where I'm somehow not letting you be African American.

That's not what he's saying though? LOL. He is saying everybody and anybody Black (race/skintone) can be African-American/Black American. And Black American/African-American in America has an lineage/ethnicity attached to it. We are a specific group of people based on lineage/ethnicity/culture.

Nobody is stopping us from being AA -- but we want to stop others who are not AA/Black American - to stop classifying themselves as such -- when they are not.

At first Hilary-- then Obama -- and Michelle made that stronger for him.

That's all I'm saying. MAYBE, he could have won - but TWO BLACK --- non-Black Americans -- with no lineage to the U.S at President and First Lady -- I just don't see it.

This was before Trump -- now -- after Obama and Trump -- maybe it could happen.

1.)Any democrat was going to win the election because of how flabby and sick the GOP looked at the time. shytty economy and an unpopular war. They were death of GOP articles being written at the time. And whoever the nominee was for the Dems was gonna get the Vast majority of the black vote like every dem candidate since 1964 was.

2.) So again black people would vote for Someone like John Kerry(88 percent) who is a white man with a white wife. But would be hesitant to vote for Obama who is a black man because in this hypothetical scenario his black wife would be let’s say Jamaican? They’ll vote for Hilary but won’t vote for Obama cause his wife is Kenyan American? That doesn’t make any damn sense

I respect your opinion. I just don't agree. Yes, it's about race. But, it's also about connection to this country. Sadly, white people -- immigrant or not - do not have to go through this. But, best believe a Black person would. Obama needed a Black American wife - who is connected through lineage/ethnicity to this country.

We have to agree to disagree.

Thanks for being nice though.

For the record I agree with everything you have ever said on this topic I just disagreed with that point on the 2008 Obama election.

But I’ll concede this argument:handshake:

I have to pull those articles from the archives. But, again -- Obama won the Black vote cause he had Michelle (ADOS) on his arm. That made him Black American to US.

Not even gone lie... Michelle is the exact reason why I voted for him in the primaries.... not just a black wife but a dark skinned black wife....

I don’t care... I don’t care... bet nan one of y’all contrarians got hands tho...

:pachaha:

I wouldn't have voted for him if his wife hadn't been a ds ADOS woman. I used her as a talking point to get my SC fam interested. They were initially like, ":dahell: A African? :patrice:Here you go with that northern shyt. "

Kamala is half indian half Jamaican pretending to be African American.

Elizabeth Warren is white pretending to be Native American.

Beto is Irish pretending to be Mexican.

What a fukking circus this is.

Genuinely to you and anyone else in this thread

When Has she said she is AA?

What does a book about the ancient northeast Africa have to do with ADOS who largely descend from West, Central, and to a lesser extent Southern Africans?
Please explain that!

Maybe cause these people migrated? A lot of west Central African peoples have migration stories of originating from the north/east Africa.
