There's a Scottie Pippen clone in the draft this year

I may have just found my new favorite player in the 2018 NBA Draft. Meet Chandler Hutchison. A little known SF from Boise State that is projected to be taken in the late 1st round of the draft this year. You can't watch this kid play and not see Scottie Pippen in his game. He's got a similar build to a young Scottie. Similar athleticism and playing style. He even sorta looks like Pippen in the face.

This kid will be a SUPERSTAR in the NBA. He's jumped all the way up to the top of my board for the draft this year alongside DeAndre Ayton.

He may have similar skill set but He lacks the speed to be comparable to Pippen
Not many ppeople could keep up with Pippen in the open court. I just watched this kid lead the fast break about 4 or 5 times in that vid and he's slow as fukk.

WHen i think of Pippen i think speed in the open court and great court vision better than most point guards. You Dont even need to watch the whole thing but just watch the first 1.5 minutes of this highlight reel and you'll see exactly what im talking about


Or even the play at the 1:54 mark. Every step Pippen took covers so much ground you'd swear he takes 4 steps and goes from half court line to the rim. They always called Drexler "The Glide" but Pippen deserved that nickname more than Clyde Drexler

I disagree with you about Chandler Hutchison being "slow as fukk". But nonetheless, let's not forget that Scottie Pippen got more explosive as he aged. Scottie was far more explosive when he was 27-31 years old than when he entered the league. I think Hutchison could similarly improve in his athleticism as he ages.

I'll be shocked if he gets past the lottery. This kid is an elite talent. I have a feeling someone pretty early on will see that and take him.

He was always explosive from what I recall. He just became a better ball handler in THE HALF COURT as he aged.

But he always had that speed in the open court. The man was the 5th pick in the draft for a reason.

Go and look at the vid i posted and you'll see what i'm talking about. This kid cant jump like Pippen either. Not sure how tall he is but he surely doesnt SEEM to have Pip's length. Closes thing we've seen to Pippen's GAME was Grant Hill in terms of speed, court vision, etc AND Kevin Durant in term of the way he uses his lenght. Durant is just a way better scorer and not a pass-first type player like Pippen

He dropped out of the combine and is refusing to workout and meet with other teams. He wants to be in Chicago. So we’ll see

He's probably gonna be a better scorer out of the gate than Pippen, tho. He's good at getting his shot off at the rim while avoiding the brunt of the contact. Pippen would just rise over his defender and finger roll. This kid can get deep into the lane and adjust in the air form what i see in his highlights that i just googled . Not the vid you posted

Swag is trash but Hutch is a top 10 guy in the draft. Could be the best wing player...certainly the best off the bounce IMO.
