Who set this man off?

One of y'all coli muthufukkas was arguing with OP so badly he went back to his parents house and found a copy of NBA live 1999. Not 98 or even 97, he found the specific year they gave pippen his highest ratings. He even giving 2k Dreamcast references

Thread is hilarious but it is true that Scottie was getting glazed like crazy in the late 90s.

ESPN The Magazine NBA previews used to rate all the players on a 1-10 scale and I remember that had Scottie as one of a handful of 10s for the lockout season after he signed with Houston.

Slam also had an issue gassing him with quotes like "Scottie Pippen is the only guy who can go scoreless and dominate a game."

It's crazy to see the takes on Scottie today. Back then, there was questions but usually most saw Pip as a top 5 player, no questions asked.

Scottie was never the 2nd best in the league. He wasn’t better than Magic, Chuck, Hakeem, DRob, Malone or Ewing during the first 3peat. And he wasn’t better than Hakeem, Shaq, DRob, or Malone during the 2nd. Those names are indisputable. He wasn’t even the 2nd best when he was leading the Bulls solo

A league with Jordan. Malone, Shaq, Penny, Duncan, Hill and Gary Payton. You think Pippen was the 4th best despite not making all nba first team.

He finished top 5 in MVP voting in 95-96 and was never above 10 after that.
Lmaooo just say you don't like him

At no fukkING POINT was GP better than PIP.

Hill had his time at the top too

Huh? Payton from 98 till retirement was a better player than Pippen.

Pippen was a shell of himself while Payton got selected to Olympics team 2000. Plus he got all NBA 1st in 98 and 2000.

We are not comparing who was better in their prime.

Scottie hadn't made the all star game since 97. Payton was making those till 2003.
