If so, Pippen should not have been the 2nd-highest rated player on NBA Live 99.

His best shot is probably the 93-94 season when MJ was out, and he finished 3rd in MVP voting behind Hakeem and David Robinson. But it's really hard to put Pippen above big guys like those 2, or Shaq, who was already dominant right out the gate.
I disagree, Live was consistently good till 2003 when it was very good. Live has never been great. NBA 2k and 2k1 was great. Then the next great basketball game was nba 2k5. They were selling that bytch for 20 dollarsNBA live was trash until 2003-2005

Developers cheated against the bulls though. If you played against the pistons you couldn't make a last second shot. But yeah... Armstrong and Pippen was solid or you could do Pippen and grant.
And well....rubber-banding was real too. Your attributes would get lowered if ya was doing to well.
It was all admitted a few years back.
But Reggie Miller and Detlef Schrempf were low key one of the best duos in the game.

1999 was the year of the cyber athlete when they improved the motion capturing. Knockout kings had Oscar Del La Hoya and SUGAR RAY LEONARD capturing. Best boxing game since that real deal with evander holyfield for the genesis..
