Considering wins and losses matter more in AEW, you can easily run an angle were Punk gets frustrated after losing 2 matches in a row against up and coming guys. He's clearly very self aware this happy go lucky "do what Rock did in 2012" version of him as an end date.

One would hope. I feel like it's time to get something going for him at Full Gear. Starks vs. Punk? Is the Team Taz feud already over? Punk seems like a good fit for FTW champion and it would keep him away from the main event scene for awhile (which I'm not in any hurry to see him thrown into). It seems like creative gears shifted recently for Punk but I’m not exactly sure in what direction. The Team Taz feud is either done or on hold, it seemed like Pillman Jr was being primed for an eventual Punk feud but he lost to MJF and now I think he’s back to Dark so who even knows. I’m not gonna say they need to turn him heel but he needs an actual serious program. The goodwill of his return isn’t gonna last forever.
