True, most people don't just want to sit in their house all day after retirement but alternatives can include traveling, hobbies, and volunteering in addition to working. Brehs also can't account for health issues that can make working significantly more difficult or impossible and retirement may be forced on you because of it. If your job isn't paying enough to save, find ways to get to a higher paying job, a second job or cut back expenses now.
