I look at therapy sort of like finding a great personal trainer at the gym. You want someone who can meet you where you are, but also challenge you in a healthy way to help you establish some structure to deal with whatever you're trying to address/accomplish. If your therapist is set on diagnosing you immediately with very little interaction, red flag. If your therapist just let's you vent without asking questions every session, red flag. Like another poster said, don't be afraid to get a new one if you aren't getting anything out of it. But just like at the gym, you only get out what you're honestly willing to put in.Changed my insurance at work because going to start seeing a therapist just to see what it can do for me
Sometimes I wonder if I have healthy thoughts and behaviors
Saw this black female therapist online that im interested in seeing
Any red flags to look out for when seeing a therapist as a black male
