I haven't seen any poll that states democrats stayed home or voted for Trump because of trans rights issues. But if trans rights are actually divisive then yeah, the messaging should be utterly de-emphasized. Just give the message "trans people are people. They are citizens, and have the same right to healthcare" if pressed.

Lame excuse to let the party off the hook for running a mediocre campaign. The problems start with Biden picking Harris as VP, then running again despite being in cognitive decline, then waiting until damn near the last minute to drop and immediately endorsing Kamala making sure there was no chance for an open primary.

Kamala strong armed her way in by making a bunch of calls (100 according to reports) to sweep up all the support from top democrats before Biden officially announces dropping out which cleared the field of any potential competition. She squandered the momentum by changing her rhetoric from going after corporate gouging and price hikes to a bunch of vague policy about home loans and Republican racism/misogyny. She also didn't take any opportunity to put some distance between her and Biden who was extremely unpopular even when he gave her the grace to do so publicly.

Democrats don't have to throw trans people in the bushes because they are small part of the population they just need to make a case to the rest of the population on the number one issue which was the economy. They can do both they just chose not to.

It's an unimportant issue that literally affects nobody. Yes, the Republicans beat that ad into peoples heads allowing them to completely disregard the fact that Trump signed off on continuing this when he was in office (trans surgery for jailed immigrant fakkits) but it being a subject of conversation should be shut down immediately. As soon as an interviewer bring it up, you can say "this affects no one and costs you nothing, we have no reason to be speaking on this, ITS THE LAW AS OF RIGHT NOW AND IT WAS PART OF TRUMPS TIME IN OFFICE".
