I was able to purchase a Xbox Series X today through Microsoft.
I'm willing to wait for it. I have games in my backlog I need to complete anyway.

You are playing the backwards compatibility version. If it was specifically enhanced for next gen you wouldn’t be getting those specific enhancements.

You know what's funny..ma gatekeeping nikka in this thread told me "we already know that." when I found out we could still play games off of them so the storage issues on xbox aren't as big of an issue.
Yea, I still test it when I get home but I think you might sacrifice some quick resume/load capabilities of you do that.

- grabbed the file: Microsoft.XboxGameStreaming-ContentTest_1.2011.301.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle
- Enabled Sideloading in security settings and installed the above app
- Launched the app, selected Series X and profit!

Right. Or if they added stuff like ray tracing or improved textures, higher framerate etc. You won’t get it unless you run it off the internal or expansion SSD
