Alot of things are wrong..they brought Rocky back but tried to FORCE Cena as a good guy and a underdog

They had CM Punk strike gold with the pipe bomb stuff but they FORCED Nash and Cripple H in the process....lol. Craziness.

They basically had to be threatened by fans to go all the way with Daniel Bryan...they turned on 3 straight PPVs and finally listened.

WTF was Sheamus given 3 title reigns for? UTTER SCUST.

Charlotte failed over and over again yet they gave her a undefeated ppv record gimmick and marginalized over acts like Sasha and Asuka...made the built up to this year's main event absolutely ridiculous when they had the Rumble winner go through hoops and then BROUGHT Asuka down a 2nd str8 year:laugh:

AJ Styles had a long reign but it was boring as fukk.

Lesnar is comically lazy...little odd squashes and segments disguised as main events.

Tag team wrestling still being buried for no reason

Nexus was cut off at the knees to give Cena his wins back..basically what anyone always knew would of happened if prime Nwo ever came across 98-99 Austin.

Botched 90% of Reigns main event run.

100% agree, basically WWE this decade has been filled with moments, big moments but nothing sustainable, this decade has been awful in terms of storylines and consistency.

What chased people away was the LOLCENAWINS era from Fall 2005 to June 2011 (Pipe Bomb Promo). This time period also coincided with them going TV-PG and pushing ridiculous bullshyt such as anyone with credibility being fed into the InCenarator, DX coming back to make Dad jokes, Hornswoggle running through a hole in a wall like fukking looney toons, absurd gimmicks (male cheerleaders, boogeyman, pirates, Eugene having the same gimmick well past the expiration date), guest hosts, that million dollar contest to try bringing in new viewers, Rosie vs. Trump match, etc. Not to mention within a two year span fans saw final matches from Steve Austin (retirement), The Rock (Hollywood until 2012), Goldberg (contract not renewed), Lesnar (NFL pipedream), Eddie Guerrero (RIP), Chris Jericho (left fall 2005 to find new ways not to be a father) coupled with them failing to elevate others into true Main Eventers (Benoit, Christian, Booker T, RVD) until much later in time.

People look back fondly at Cena now, but the damage done during that nearly 6 year time period when he was shoved down people's throats is pretty massive.

People just aren't watching wrestling anymore. This isn't 1998.

While true, that’s due to the various reasons already posted in this thread. If your product is good and engaging, people will watch, and they very will watch it in a traditional tv setting. Some of the most popular tv shows in recent years have been about superheroes, zombies, and a medieval time period (?), and the WWE can’t find a way to compete with any of those?? Lol

There were instances where we seen sparks

And then it just fizzles afterwards
