Exactly?^^

How is wrestling dying when so many companies are rising up or doing better business getting more exposure and all the talent has so many options of companies to work with?

For a minute there was an era when when people stopped wearing wrestling stuff to now tshirts and gear are back in style

it's just a niche audience that has a cult following. it's not like the 80's and 90's when the mainstream audience was tuned in to it too

Look at other promotions that are going with the new trends and they ain't making money either. People jut don't watch wrestling anymore because everything has been exposed and overdone. Too many TV shows, too many PPVs and the same wrestlers. fighting each other over and over again. Peoples imagination is no longer there to enjoy it and social media exposes it's secrets. This has nothing to do with the age of the owner or his cronies being out of touch.

Gaming and youtube have snatched market share away from Network TV.

The internet killed wrestling.

We like to shyt on Corny but dude is right. The dirtsheets expose the business. Remember back in the days where that shyt was legit foreign to the human eye. Now you have folks casually talking about kayfabe, going over, and all sorts of shyt that would make Ole Anderson unload the clip on a high school indie wrestling gym. Look, we all know the shyt is fake but breh, can we at least keep it that way :mjtf:? Why must wrestlers cater to the audience that don't mind bumming a promotion on an illegal site? These are the same fans that would think a hate crime is a work:beli:. Maybe it's time to grow the fukk up or just follow the Lucha Underground blueprint, yet look where they are at :aicmon:. DDT trying to restore the feeling but folks will continue to watch a product that will shyt on them off GP, yet they will keep watching the shyt. We got a buffet table of wrestling but the promoters still tone deaf to whats suppose to sell in 2019. Bottom line, wrestling is dead and it will be exposed once WWE end up enduring a fall of epic proportions. I know folks want the promotion to fall like the ball but trust when I say this...be careful of what you wish for. Not even AEW can ressurect the feeling of whats about to happen in 2020 :francis:. When it does, I want my daps and reps at alarming speeds. Just wipe me down with them shyts :ehh:

and social media put a nail in it's coffin but during the mid to late 90's the internet did help with marketing wrestling

And they treated it for what it was...The internet was used for marketing just for autograph signings, tickets, events etc.. They saved the cutting edge stuff for the shows. You didn't see Stone Cold arguing with some fat fukk in Nebraska on twitter..

This is exactly how Becky Lynch got exposed when she tried to go at it with a pro(Edge).. All of that "clap back on Twitter" bullshyt excites geeks and then when they go on stage, They get exposed. This killed alot of the mystique of the talent.
