lol @ all these half-a-fags like "its so great how they are treating her this way despite the mistake she's made"

all it proves is that no one even 1% cares about the result, and if it were the men's team it would've been a brutal world-famous meme 10 seconds after

I understand where you're coming from. It's just the nature of how it happened. England was pretty much keeping Japan in check this entire game. Playing them stride for stride. Three more minutes before it went to extra time and then...bam, own goal. Whether you were a opposing fan or neutral, everyone felt for that England player. I'm pretty sure that there are some people out there making memes and stuff of that goal but the overall atmosphere of the goal was anything but funny. I know I was like GOD DAMN. To lose like that. So it's really hard to poke fun at something like that when you know the team worked really hard to get to that point and to lose on a fluke play.

also take into consideration that England had NO business even making it that far...almost everyone had Norway or Canada in their spot. Talent wise they were a round of 16 team. :manny:

But for real though....England and its choke culture are the things that :heh: documentaries are made of...the Men's teams decades of :flabbynsick: has transferred to the women.

I think this was a small mis-step for England. We will see if they put on a strong showing against Germany, which is a much tougher opponent than Japan. If they beat them, then like I mentioned earlier, it will be an amazing feat. I think that they'll be able to do it as they have the total package to compete with the best of them. The next World Cup, this team will be dangerous and I could see them getting back into the semifinals.

I just felt strongly that the penalty kick for England should have called

You meant shouldn't have been called? Yeah, that was some pure fcukery right there, lol!:mjlol:These refs have definitely been hit or miss throughout this World Cup.

Man, I'm pretty tired but I can't miss this game between Germany and England. On paper, Germany is the superior team but I have a feeling that England will put up a great fight. England is a resilient team that will fight you till it's last breath. I'm going to pick England for the upset here, lol.

Again, England is playing a real solid game here. Definitely impressed that they're holding their own against the #1 team in the world.
