And that is game!:wow:This England team has heart, grit, they're disciplined and they don't give up nor quit. To beat the number one team in the world after losing in such a heartbreaking fashion....this team is for real! Now I'm wondering how a U.S. vs England final would've played out. Just an incredible effort by this England team!

As for Germany, I just think they were a little tired. They had 33 shots but 7 on goal so they weren't able to really flow on offense but yeah....they definitely was burned out towards the end.

All in all, impressive win for England. They just have to tweak a few things and they can easily be in the finals the next World Cup.:wow:

@Spades Of Aces is wambach playing in the Olympics next year?

My guess would be that it's 50/50. I mean, she already has 2 gold medals from the Olympics so there is no real incentive for her to play. The U.S. roster is so deep, they wouldn't miss a beat if she decided that she doesn't want to play. The only way I can see her playing is if she has a real desire to capture her third one and how she feels physically going into the Olympics. I think if she wins a World Cup here, she won't play as she's achieved everything she wanted in the soccer realm.

i forgot that usa beat japan in the 2012 olympics

Yep, but it's this World Cup loss in 2011 that still burns them. Especially in the manner that they loss. I fully expect the U.S. to win this time around as they're much stronger and more focused than they were in 2011.

I got to go out for dinner but im expecting a 2-nil, its time to get our revenge:birdman:. More than likely we'll go into extra time though. That just seems like the way this tourney has been.

Man, Abby Wambach wants to win this World Cup BADLY!:wow:I think she would've played the full 90 minutes if she was selected to be in the starting XI.
