Looking at that kick she attempted, she definitely wanted to get it over the post but didn't put enough on the ball to do that which resulted in a lower arc kick and bam, own goal. What is even more shocking about this is that England for the most part has been great when it comes to last minute situations in the game as they maintain composure. She shouldn't have taken that type of shot towards her own goal keeper.

Man, USA and Japan, while great teams really caught some breaks. US yesterday dodged a bullet, to go on and make a sick run yesterday. Being down 1-0 would have made things extra tough. Then Japan with a gift at the very end.

Not gonna lie, last WWC I was going for Japan. Yeah, caught up in the tsunami back story and all that. This year.... let's go USA. But a back to back win for Japan would be crazy as fukk too!

Man, I'm not going to lie, I'm still a little shocked how it ended. Like...WTF, lol. I mean, what words do you even say to console her? How do the other players feel? What about the England crowd. Hopefully she's able to hold it together.
shyt they accomplished more than ever before in this tourney & made it farther than their men's team. They should be proud.
Homegirl should be supervised 24 hours of the day for the next few days tho just in case :mjcry:

Most definitely. She won't be able to live this down for a long long time. Like, damn, you're so close but to have it slip away like that....I really hope that she does recover from it. This team though is definitely on the up and up. Their style of play along with the ability to make comebacks and end of game discipline, I can see them making some noise again in this next World Cup. I'm going to also keep my eye them for the 2016 Summer Olympics if they manage to qualify.

Im watching the Japan v. England post match Press Conference. The England coach is amazing as he's 100% behind his players. You can see and feel the emotion from him as he's describing how his team has played in the tournament. You can see he's probably hurt the most more than anyone as he's hurt for the players.

But....I will say this: I'm a bit excited for the Germany vs. England match! Both of these team lost in a pretty intense way so I expect both of these teams to come out firing and giving everything they've got. I'm wonder how the England coach will get his players prepped up to play against Germany after this loss. To me, if England beats Germany, that will be an even more amazing feat considering how they've lost this last game. I'll definitely watch this game on Saturday.
