It's a numbers game whoever has the highest total number based on the number on the cards when's the round l. You have to win two out of three. All the extra cards have different effects 2 lower or diminish the total score of the opponent. But if you don't have a nice deck of cards you're going to get your ass whipped and I'm sick of it

Took a long time to build a good Gwent deck other than Northern realms. I ended up sticking with it because I had a bunch of good spy cards and cards to bring them back when they got discarded.

Buying cards from the taverns and beating the bartenders as you go seems to be the best way to build up the deck. Keep the cards in the rare card quest you run with your dwarf friend and then win the big tournament.
