I'm glad "The Bloody Baron" in particular is getting love because that's arguably the GOAT side quest. If not the GOAT it's easily a contender.
it wasn't really a "side quest" though. I think only the last part ("Return to Crookback Bog") was optional

Just finished the Iris rose sequence, probably the best part of the entire game, never mind the expansion. Say what you want, but in terms of story telling and characters TW3 is way up there.

I also read the first Witcher book and the writing/dialogue is rough. The games seems to have improved on the source material considerably.

Stuck in the most random place, the professor accidentally offed himself, I leave his house and now I can't get off his property, all the doors are locked. Anyone remember how they got out? :francis:

It doesn't fit the traditional definition of "side quest" but I meant it had entire arcs and plot lines totally unrelated to the main story, or characters. Most games wouldn't invest so much time and effort into what is essentially a quest NPC.

I really liked how the game handled branching story-lines and your decisions. in the Telltale games, and such, it's always so obvious when you're making a crucial decision. but in TW3 it was more like "do whatever you want. there's several ways to complete this quest... but later you gonna realize you fuct up  "
