You know
Read it

"On stage at the Academy Awards, comedian Chris Rock made a joke at the expense of Jada Pinkett Smith. Her husband Will Smith responded by walking on stage and hitting Chris Rock. Do you think Smith’s actions were or were not acceptable?"

Black
Acceptable - 27
Not Acceptable - 55

Last time I looked 55 > 27

Daily Question | 28/03/2022 | YouGov

Besides on the night it happened, Black Twitter was going in on him. Not everybody, but most. And again, you had threads in this very forum doing the same.
Did you not read what you responded to? Black people agree what he did was wrong but are “sympathetic” and “protective” of him. Which means we are not behind the vilification of Will smith. Not going to stand for it.

They get joy out of his “demise”

Exactly breh like there's this whole projection going along with this.

A person can say Will was wrong fine, but this added "we also have to tear/bring him down" call him xyz and revel in him being punished/brought down is really just hidden hate.

Like I mentioned in a previous post it reminds me of exactly how Lebron is treated.

Then something is wrong with your sight, it's all over the place. Plus, there was a thread here on it before it got merged into the big thread. He let his wife constantly belittle him. You think that gets a lot of support? He was laughing at the joke, wife gave him the order to go handle it and he did what he was told.

I clicked the link you posted and just saw whiteboys and c00ns.

Regardless of what you think of Will Smith, Jada, this incident, "the entanglement" etc. The Black community is not turning on Will Smith over this.

you get off on this. These are the only “Brehs” I see that are behind this “cancelation” of Will smith. The black community is majority behind Will smith (not supporting what he did, but are sympathetic)
Yeah, the only black men that I see trying to cancel Will are mostly the "Alpha Male", Kevin Samuels fan, Anti-BW types.

Then there's the "he set black people back" tapdancers but that's another story altogether.

Chris Rock basically pulling a Jussie. Making calls to famous friends to put in the work of shaming Will

So Chris is like "Damn who can I call to really fukk up Will's career? I really gotta bring in the big guns on this. Oh I know the perfect person. Wanda Sykes." :mjlol:

Wanda Sykes fame is damn near an invisible spec on the radar compared to Will Smith's fame.

I really don't think Chris is telling anyone what to say. These people are celebs, they do interviews and have social media, they get asked about it, they give their opinions.:yeshrug:

The nonsense. HIS WIFE has been vilifying him. She's smiling/laughing, he's crying. Protective of him? He brought this on himself, he chose his actions. This is the news for a little bit then life goes on. He'll still be making movies.

I do believe he’s legitimately processing on how he goes forward with this….folks talking about suing and shyt…but Will and Chris go waaay back 30 years. So this ain’t just some C list celebrity Chris can just sue and forever forget about…this basically mr black Hollywood and your (former?) homeboy who you was cool with who just slapped you out of completely nowhere

The difference between cacs and black people is that we’ll say Will was wildling but we’ll still love him the next day. Whereas whites are looking for any reason for one of us to mess up so they can destroy us. We just here for entertainment and the moment we make a mistake we back to being a nikka. Will was wrong. Chris didn’t deserve to get slapped even if his joke was hurtful to Jada. It’s comedy and I doubt he meant anything by it. I commend Chris for being professional and for not making the situation anymore crazy than it was but we also gotta protect Will because these cacs are going to try to use this to tear down another famous black person. He’s one of our legends. Period. I wish whites didn’t get a backstage pass to what should be an insular issue.
