Apparently the academy asked will to leave and he refused

I’m expecting him to be stripped of his award

I feel bad for Will, yeah he shouldn't have did what he did but his mental has to be completely messed up by all the cuck shyt being out in public :francis:

The only way he can regain his respect is by dumping that demon and finding a good woman. It's not too late.
He should of stood his frail mind ass home then.

It might cheaper to keep her but he’s gotta leave to save his sanity. I can only wonder what else she has planned for him after this situation.

The difference between cacs and black people is that we’ll say Will was wildling but we’ll still love him the next day. Whereas whites are looking for any reason for one of us to mess up so they can destroy us. We just here for entertainment and the moment we make a mistake we back to being a nikka. Will was wrong. Chris didn’t deserve to get slapped even if his joke was hurtful to Jada. It’s comedy and I doubt he meant anything by it. I commend Chris for being professional and for not making the situation anymore crazy than it was but we also gotta protect Will because these cacs are going to try to use this to tear down another famous black person. He’s one of our legends. Period. I wish whites didn’t get a backstage pass to what should be an insular issue.

That's all well and good but what about the victim?

How people are really trying to talk up this protecting black woman angle, you’d swore he called her a whore or a b-word.

Not necessarily “black women” on the whole but women are seeing themselves in Jada as there is rarely such a NATIONALLY PUBLIC display of a black man “risking it all’ for his black wife (which in itself is a problematic stereotype and LIE that black men the world over haven’t fought for and DIED on behalf of defending the black women in their communities)

*incoming stream of consciousness*

What’s crazy is people talk like Chris doesn’t have a family. Like he just sprung from the aether 50+ years old fully formed or some shyt. He has two black daughters, right? They had to see their father slapped on national TV over a relatively minor Jada Pinkett joke, but fukk his black family, right? :gucci:

Comedians serve a vital community function whether it’s highlighting the absurdity of a particular collective ethos, subversion of the status quo, championing free speech, or bonding communities.

Also, some of y’all really underestimate the destructive capabilities of white people. Will is not just going to be able to shrug this off in a few weeks. If/when he gets a new role this is all they’re going to ask him about. When he’s doing a media tour — this is all they’ll ask him in re-worded way. If he’s casted in a new movie… they’ll be talking about boycotting it, and the production company, and the director, and picketing, and the reviews will mention the dastardly Will Smith, and so forth. “How could you hire that criminal for a role?!?!” Them Disney roles and shyt? That’s dead. White people have made whole ass negros/people disappear. Y’all remember Isaiah Washington? James Franco? Exactly. Obviously, not stars on Will’s level, but Will is going to have to take a seat for awhile. Will’s recent movies were not doing well prior to this commercially with the exception of Aladdin. He’s going to have to holler at Tyler Perry or something, because them Hollywood white gatekeepers going to :hubie:.

All this for a woman that is literally in love with a dude that’s been dead for 20+ years and pines for him every chance she gets, publicly humiliates her husband at every turn from I never wanted to marry him to he can’t satisfy me in bed — to I really didn’t know him before this pandemic. I asked my girl if (who is the best woman I’ve ever met romantically — by far) if she would have wanted me to slap Chris and was like, “Of course not. That’s silly. I wouldn’t let you tarnish everything you’ve worked so hard for. Besides that, I don’t need you to slap anyone that hasn’t physically harmed or threatened me to feel honored by you.” My black queen. :wow:

I do feel bad for Will on some-level. Dude has an incredibly unappreciative Delilah for a wife, people coming at him from every angle from the child rearing of his kids, his religiosity, his children’s sexual proclivities, the entanglements, etc. He has to feel like he’s being crushed, but with that said he fukked up bad.

*end stream of consciousness*

Chris has been a habitual line stepper with Will and Jada for a few years now. The “joke” he made wasn’t prompted, written into the ceremony or part of the festivities, which mean Chris Rock literally went OUT OF HIS WAY to insult Jada for no reason. Its been known for years now that at ceremonies like the Oscars, most of the “Gotcha” jokes are agreed to beforehand between the host and Celebrity so that stuff like this DOESN’T HAPPEN.

So Chris ignored all of that, and thought he could just have carte blanche to say whatever he wanted about Will because he got away with it in 2016 and because Will is supposedly “soft”.

He learned a different lesson.

Both Chris and Will put THEMSELVES in bad positions that night. Chris by going off script and thinking Will was a “safe” target when really the occasion didn’t call for him to be targeted at ALL and Will for snapping on the biggest night of his career to date.

You know
What about his daughters who had to watch their father get slapped on live TV and the heckling they're probably getting?

There's consequences for committing a violent act
People get slapped all the time. People have watched family members fight :mjlol: They’ll get over it

Yeah and really Chris literally protected Will three times. One he could have fought back and made it even worse for Will. Two he could have pressed charges and three he could have taken everyones phone like Dave does then unloaded an entire clip of jokes on Will ass tonight.

Yet at every opportunity he didn't do it.

Also Chris did a story how he mentioned a dude that use to bully him in high school he gave a job to once he got on and became famous. He gave dude like a security job at the set of one of his movies to help him get back on his feet. Folks might not like Chris humor or jokes but most folks will say he ain't a vindictive type of dude like that when you catch him in the real world outside of that bad boy comedy stuff and hollyweird. He not one of those drunk with power type of stars.

I will say this he ain't no saint (we all aren't saints). But in those instances he a better man then me, cause I would not have taken the high road....my ass too fukking petty. Which is why my ass could never be in hollywood or famous.

Chris said in that same interview he's got a big ego when it comes to stand up but a low self esteem when it comes to everything else. This might be a weird comparison but he's kinda similar to Prodigy. Like Chris, Prodigy was a little skinny dude, couldn't play sports because of his disease even though he wanted to, so he used rap to get that aggression out. Got into rap beefs with dudes who were ten times his size. I feel like Chris does the same thing but just gets aggression out with stand up instead of rap.

The other funny thing is Chris has always talked about how women are controlling in marriage and relationships. Call it sexist or misogynistic all you want but go watch some of his old bits on marriage and tell me it doesn't sound exactly like Jada Pinkett Smith. :yeshrug:
