What does Chris Cuomo have that Chris Rock doesn't? A reliable means of quantifying the damages of an alleged breach of contract.People do this all the time. Chris Cuomo is doing this to CNN rn
he could claim emotional damages (or whatever) and potentially lost income; will slapped him on TV in front of the whole world. if he wanted to he could run pockets for a settlement
How would he prove lost income? How would he prove emotional damages.
Can he point towards contracts he couldn't honor because of the slap?
This is a bad take Breh.
Punitive damages and “pain and suffering” don’t really have to be quantified. The tape alone is enough evidence to make a case for either of those things.
Nah, it isn't a bad take. People need to stop running wild with shyt they understand in concept only.
Punitive damages isn't some open book where judges put whatever figure they see fit in. Deterring the wrongful act is just one of the considerations. Another, key consideration, is what is proportionate in relation to the damage caused and why the wrongful act was committed
You think they're going to set a precedent where people can have their networth decimated over minor infractions?
