In both situations, someone who was conscious would think "I'm not going undermine someone highlighting the underlying racism in the industry" and "I'm not going to get my licks in on brother's, when everyone is taking the opportunity to emasculate him, on his big day".

He wasn't conscious and got boxed as a result. People can say what they would and wouldn't have done, but I'd like to think that most brothers wouldn't press him like that in front of a wide audience. Chris got too comfortable with his c00nery.

I hate his opinions on sports, but Skip has always been one to show respect when black folks talk about race.
