One big thread is better then 1000 separate threads cluttering up the site. And if you don’t sticky it you run the risk of people “not seeing” the mega thread and polluting up the main feed.nikkas made a megathread about this....and stickied it.
he could claim emotional damages (or whatever) and potentially lost income; will slapped him on TV in front of the whole world. if he wanted to he could run pockets for a settlementPeople keep saying "Chris Rock should sue him", sue him for what?
Damages isn't something you can just put a number to without having to prove.
[OC] Twitter Sentiment On Will Smith Before and After Slap
This is a bad take Breh.People keep saying "Chris Rock should sue him", sue him for what?

He’s not saying anything because he’s LITERALLY in the middle of a world tour standup show.Anyone else feels like a lawsuit is being drawn up by Chris Rock thus him not saying anything? That isn’t some shyt you just let slide and bygones be bygones. I am siding with Jim Carrey. The Smiths and the Academy would be named in that suit.
Well, yeah, I meant civil. It was established the night it happened he wasn't pressing criminal charges. I still don't think he'll sue. I wouldn't care but folks would just see it as one obscenely rich dude suing another (of course he aint got Will Smith bread but still). And a lot of black people probably wouldn't like the idea for obvious reasons. And then there's the segment of people who believe the "Will was protecting m'lady" bullshyt. So no I don't think he wants to take the hit (pun intended) to his image when he's already being seen as the victim/good guy by a lot of folks.Criminal and civil are not the same.
People do it all the time, not pursue criminal action but file a civil suit.
What is his image? Chris Rock never ever portrayed himself as a tough guy or street.
He spoofed it with CB4.
Get smacked for the world to see at the Oscars is his image?
In the wise words of Chris Rock “No one’s above an ass whooping…you just don’t do it…they’re coming for your money.”
I agree with you. Will Smith looks worse in most reasonable peoples eyes. I'm just pointing out why I think it's unlikely. How much money does he really stand to gain from a lawsuit versus the boon to his career this incident has already been? Tickets sales are up etc. Hell, the bag from his next Netflix or HBO special alone is about to be insane. No worse for his image than Will slapping someone on live television in front of millions and then partying it up at the after party after. If anything, that would fuel the lawsuit in and of itself. If Will really felt bad about what he did, then he would have found Chris after it was over and apologized.
Even then, that wouldn’t be enough to potentially stop a lawsuit from occurring.
Ain't no nikka's chopping it up a few days later after one of them slaps up the other. Will and Chris somewhere kicking it and laughing at y'all

No it’s not. Merging different threads just kills the conversation for a lot of people. Who cares if will smith threads were the topic for a few days? Is that really going to ruin the forum when there are 20 other sub forums to post in?One big thread is better then 1000 separate threads cluttering up the site. And if you don’t sticky it you run the risk of people “not seeing” the mega thread and polluting up the main feed.
Make sense?
I’m not thinking seriously about this at all so I have some wild takes.
-If you’re Will Smith, do you just go MIA for a while? He’s what, 50 something? Money hella long? He can certainly do this indefinitely
- I hope he spins this into a villain role. Jamie Foxx in Baby Driver, Denzel in Training Day type shyt.
- If this was staged, give the man who set this up a RAISE. People are still unsure if it was real or not, myself included
- Wonder if Bradley Cooper, Denzel n em were like “Hey bruh…not saying that was right…..but…and don’t tell nobody…but let’s grab a drink cause I feel that shyt”
- I’m actually inspired by Chris Rock in this. Dude did not miss a beat after having this piss slapped out of him. I was WEAK at “…Will Smith just smacked the shyt out of me” that’s god level composure I hope to obtain one day
- Alec Baldwin had words?? His PR wasn’t like “breh…..you just caught a body….sit this one out”???
