I don't think he's going to pursuit legal action, even if it's within his rights. It'd be bad for his image. It's worth pointing out that California could press charges if they wanted since this was recorded. Will is a damned fool.


No, he hasn't.

No worse for his image than Will slapping someone on live television in front of millions and then partying it up at the after party after. If anything, that would fuel the lawsuit in and of itself. If Will really felt bad about what he did, then he would have found Chris after it was over and apologized.

Even then, that wouldn’t be enough to potentially stop a lawsuit from occurring.

In Will's situation, I would have roughed Chris up off camera. I'm pretty sure they know each other behind the scenes seeing as Will employed his younger brother for a number of years.

Black person to black person, Chris Rock shouldn't have torn into Jada at the Oscars 6 years ago. Being on code should mean not undermining the efforts of a black person for equality in front of a white audience.
