This was pretty much a stage play on film. I'm surprised Aronofsky didn't bring any filmmaking flair to the movie.
I thought some scenes were over the top.
It was once scene were the music started to swell up during an emotional scene lol. It almost felt like a parody.
I'm all Brendan Fraser winning the Oscar.
This was an amazing performance. He acted like this was his last time given this type of material, and he put everything in it.

The daughter gave a subpar performance when everyone else did a great job. She basically played the same character from Stranger Things but was even worse.
I just saw this and I thought it was a great film. No frills just pure human mistakes, regrets and the pain that comes from those things , and it was kinda refreshing
Fraser was amazing in this, the daughter overacted and could have done a better job in my opinion. I’ve also saw folks say they didn’t like the ending but i thought it was prefect the way it ended.

Fraser basically played this character for a whole movie
Film hits a little too close to home. Know a few people eating their lives away because of depression. Its terrible. Great movie though
