after a couple more listens have to drop this shyt to like 6/10

I'd never heard girls born in the 90's hearing what they did to that was depressing. took all teeth from that track. That and King of the Fall are better than anything on here really. the first two tracks, dark times, shameless, in the night, and earned it became unlistenable after a while. He'll get his paper though and I aint mad at him but hopefully he pulls a future in the...future and continues to serve the base.

Because Kissland flopped hard. Go back check his few interviews and comments. He went back 2 da label for advice and they hooked em up wit new producers n writers to help him say his msg in a different way. And it worked.

Like HoB days could you picture Abel working with Mad Max the most pop, bubblegum producer there is. But look how amazing that turned out. Can't feel my face is a chart topper, a bubblegum beat wit Abel singing bout snorting coke. Doc had 2 go man, all Doc was doing was trying to copy Zodiac da OG. And he wasn't doin a great job of it.

Except doc wasn't on kiss land. He had illangelo on this album who's been there since HOB. Why no Doc? And I'm not saying doc should have produced most of the tracks. But just leaving him completely out of the creative process is weird. Say what you want but he was instrumental in helping weeknd get to where he is today. Gave him a style when he was doing fake trey song tracks

After 5 consecutive spins, the album starts to drag as soon as ed sheeran shows up. This album is literally for the weekend. All that said, 4.5/5 all around. Very intimate and honest for the modern male. Props to the most unapologetic man in rnb right now.
