The way I remember it, when NWA were in their prime Public Enemy was always bigger.

Thats top secret information
Look you p*ssy aas deflection artist.
Don't be lumping me in with yo huff ass bullshyt this morning cause you still do not know this shyt like that. It took you days to post just one simple fukk'n elementary flav rhyme and you still don't know the other quote. So go on one of those lyric sites or YouTube PE to find the answer. You been lost this complete discussion and every reply is bullshjt deflection.

Never in ya life do you know this shyt more than me. Nobody on the fukk'n web does from a daily standpoint and that is real for twenty fukk'n years as a fact I am that nikka when it comes to this culture. So stfu with all that deflection shyt. You sound like a ho even binding involved in some side beef in your thread and can not even moderate it with actual real content on your end. That never happens to me ever as far as supplying content. So please spare us the deflection. Admit you were wrong and step the fukk off.
Ol don't know pe rhymes but trying to talk about PE. While I done gave a while synopsis without fail in any subject in rap including for two decades.

nikka move around and stfu bih.

Only person ho'n out and having mental issues is yo deflection artist ass.

My dude. Now u are becoming annoying with this fill in the blank bullshyt. I answered your fill in the blank question ions ago and u still saying I didnt. I answerd your NWA fill in the blank in post #78 but u are so drunk u missed it. U getting on some weirdo shyt now.

Look my nikka...U live in Chicago, the last time I had a conversation with someone and we were at a stallmate( well actually u been checkmated a long time ago) I hit dude up because he lived in NYC and we met up on some G shyt and had a beautiful convo in real time....If u are serious about continuing this convo hit me up in the PM and we can exchange numbers and continue the conversation without texting back and forth if u are that passionate about it. We are going nowhere with any of this. And its now going into 'weirdo territory." I respect your opinion on certain things concerning Hip Hop and thats why I'm willing to go there with u since u seem so passionate about it. As for this back and forth....we just gonna have to agree to disagree.

No, you actually and factually fukk'n wrong.

Ain't no disagree to disagree. You have no facts to back you, no time line comparison, you can not remember the rhymes when asked on time. You are incapable of authenicating your data as well. You can not even cite the numerous drawing eras of both groups by time line or significance. You are just completely in error and completely wrong. While alternatively I supplied all the info and content you could not supply for your own thread.

Of which, you such a goof about the shyt. When skj talked about ybrts. You glossed over it just like you don't know the rhymes. Yet you some expert in PE. Yet when asked to authenticate you fukk'n can not. I guarantee you if anyone ask me about a group or anything in hiphop over multiple pillars. I will either know or say I do not and then go do a full discovery zone.
You, alternatively can not admit you were wrong and still deflecting then trying to play it on some agree to disagree shyt.
when you are completely wrong.

ummm...i don't remember this....PE was big back then but NWA was mega size and it changed a culture of mainstream rap.

NWA revolutionized the entire west coast of music movies and gang culture AND it had a huge following in the East Coast.

When I was growing up in Philly....none of us had ever stepped in cali or anywhere close to it....but we all wore Raiders hats, and jackets and we played all of their albums.

Public Enemy was just big in the realm of rap alone but not really much else. I'm not sure they were even the biggest East Coast group at the time...i'd have to think about it.

Overall IMO, the 3 biggest rap groups in Hip Hop history are Run DMC, NWA and Wu Tang...I'm not sure PE cracks the top 5.

So let me get this straight. You claim I didnt know the Flav verse but me actually telling u which song it was dont count? Then when I play your game and say the verse You say it took to long even tho that after I told u that the game was stupid because anyone could just google that shyt. And thats what u are holding onto to say I have no credibility in this conversation.

IMO...BDP, Eric B and Rakim, Salt N pepa, Juice Crew, Beastie Boys and EPMD were all just as big back then....they all had big followings...if PE was bigger it wasn't by much if at all....one thing I do know is that NWA IMO were bigger than all of them at the time.

I'm in my late 30s NOW, so take a guess. And yes, I know all of those groups, I just gave you a sample of groups that were AS popular as PE back then. I didn't know that I had to name EVERY group since the stone age lol.

The point remains though, NWA was bigger than PE back then in my eyes. And I was born and raised in a North East coast city almost as far from LA as you can be. That's how far their influence and following went.

If you are 39 like myself then you were 10 in 88. But were u one of those 10 year olds who actually went to Skate Key and watched Video Music Box and went to Harlem Week, were u buying tapes at 10 in 88? Thats the real question.:patrice:

if u are 37 that means u are 7 or 8 in 1988 and i'm calling bullshyt :stopitslime:

Just did a census in this thread and there are only 4 people claiming NWA was bigger then PE

Compared to 10 who say otherwise.

So with that said.....MAJORITY RULES :yeshrug:

Not quite 39, but close to it. I grew up in Philly...and yes I watched Music Box, Yo MTV Raps etc. I didn't buy tapes...but my older brother who was 18-20 at the time did. All of my older cousins who were 3-5 years older at the time did too....and guess what they raved about ? NWA. How do you think I got into them? lol

:pachaha:@ you thinking a coli forum is the "majority"....if the majority rules...why not use something more universal like RECORD sales?

You see...U telling on yourself that u not paying attention to this convo. I already excplained why we cant use record sales in the first post. I already explained about how the rebirths have altered sales....eq SOC the movie pushed SOCs album sales. PE never had such rebirths so current sales wouldnt tell us what was what by 1991.

I find it quite odd that you claimed u watched Yo MTV and we all know NWA videos were banned on MTV while PE was getting all the spotlight on MTV. The only place u could find NWA videos was on The Box and Video Music Box(the ny tv show not the call in channel).Yet u claimed the ones who were banned are bigger then the ones who got all the spotlight.

:patrice:

So u didnt go to Skate key in 88 or 89 or 1990 nor were u outside during Harlem Week.....And of course your older brothers were raving about NWA....I said it myself thats who I was more attracted to myself...But I also came out of my own feelings of who I liked more (NWA) and had to be objective about who was bigger and it was PE.
