Those are the Live numbers, which virtually no network uses any more. The current standard is Live+3, which is those numbers, plus 3 days of DVR recordings. Factor in HBO Go, etc. and the number rises tenfold. "Westworld" season 1 has higher ratings than season 1 of "Game Of Thrones".

The live numbers are the point of the TWD article which is being discussed here though. Most are aware that factoring in other methods of viewing and Live+3 bumps things up but that really isn't the subject at hand.

the levels to this  immaculate execution lol

It's because of these isolated character centric episodes. How you gonna go 2-3 episodes without featuring the main character (Rick)

And then expect people to tune in to watch some boring disconnected side-plot  I couldn't even finish that Kingdom episode :wow:
they way they structure the episodes so predictably, you literally could just decide to watch every two or three weeks and skip the other bullshyt storylines until the finale

:dwillhuh:

You listed the Live numbers for "Westworld" which are 9-10 million off. If people are looking at the numbers you posted of course they'd think it's not a threat to "TWD".

I listed the numbers for people who watch WW on TV at 9pm on Sunday nights since the EW article about TWD was about the numbers for the show based on people watching it on TV at 9pm on Sunday nights.
Where exactly is your confusion? Because if you start adding the Live+3 and DVR numbers to TWD's tally that show's numbers go up too.

The problem is the Live numbers you're listing for "Westworld" don't take into account HBO Go, which can double or even triple the ratings in the same time slot but are never listed as the Live numbers.

Yes, if you add Live +3 to "TWD" the numbers go up....it doesn't change the fact that there's a new hit show airing at the same time, potentially pulling millions of viewers away from watching "TWD" as it airs.

Had a feeling this thread would be full of "i been stopped watching this...." and thats pretty much what i got :ehh:

Base, predictable
Show was doing record numbers past couple seasons but everybody stop watching in season 4 huh. :sas1:
The character development episodes are slow and they insert them during awkward times but at this point it's silly to complain about an aspect of the show that's been in place from the start. Repetitiveness is a valid complaint imo but I think this particular iteration of "new enemy threatening the group" is actually interesting because Negan seems so dominant and unbeatable.

One thing that doesn't make sense is how Negan's group didn't already have domain over Alexandria. A big ass gated community sitting smack dab in the middle of Negan's territory and he didn't know about it? :jbhmm:

I watch mid week during the day. It has nothing exciting anymore. AMC is too fukking cheap. Two episodes without the star? Are you serious? Unless they have a show that is taking up that free madmen money, I don't fukking get it.
