GOOD AND CHEAP PODCAST
The writing was on the wall 4-5 seasons ago when AMC cut this show's budget to throw more money at "Mad Men" and told "TWD" cast and crew "if you publicly complain we'll just replace you all". This is the TV equivalent of fast food.

They tried to pull the same shyt with the final season of "Breaking Bad" (wanted to cut the budget and number of episode to 8 total for season 5) but Vince Gilligan told them to eat a dikk. "BB" was owned by Sony at the time so they had leverage to negotiate and threatened to go to another network.

"TWD" is 100% owned by AMC so the cast and crew can't do jack shyt. This is also why they replaced Frank Darabont and Glen Mazzara.

makes perfect sense. just read the season 7 thread. they are fukking the audience over left and right. and god help the folks that watch it live with all the goddamn commerical stoppages for those bullshyt filler episodes their giving us damn near every week.

Plus there isn't a end game to aything or anything interesting. No word on how the rest of the world is affected, all of the likeable characters killed, same plot story about finding a safe place, no plot twist anymore, just a plain boring show
Without following the comics it would be worse

"Westworld". That's all I'm gonna say.

Fred.

sunday night at 8pm is too competitive. TWD is competing with the stellar westword, shameless (which has been good all season and can juggle multiple storylines), and sunday night football.

plus, two of those shows are commercial free as well. no one wants to put up with this overly drawn out show in which you don't see the main character for literally a month at a time.

when I heard that the Showrunner said the show can go for another ten years I had to check out. I ain't watching a show about the zombie apocalypse that doesn't have an end. They either all die or they find a cure. I also agree with everyone else saying the same shyt happens every season just in a different setting.

They really need to put the possibility of cure in the story

It all seems pretty pointless :yeshrug:

That is my biggest gripe, when so many shows are smart now like GOT or breaking bad it kills me that this show is the most popular. To me with no hope of anyone winning it's not as intriguing to me
