A lot of salt in this thread I see:mjgrin:
Nobody should be caught off-guard at this outcome though. It's not a government agency's job to pick or protect the winners in a market. It's their job to protect consumers. This deal strengthens the weakest player in the home console market. The argument that would hurt competition is nonsensical.

A AAA game every 2 months isn't unrealistic with 30+ studios.

People said that ages ago with the Bethesda acquisition and the AAA game every three months - in 2023 M$ can barely put out 1 good one in one year.

People forget true AAA games take 5-7 years to make.

Gamepass needs continuous content, not big ass AAA games that take ages to make and release.

Bethesda since Microsoft acquired them have released

Deathloop
Ghost wire
Hi fi rush
Redwall (may)
Starfield ( September)

That's 2 games a year, just cause sony bought timed exclusivity pre merger on two titles doesn't mean they haven't kept up their commitment.

I expect 1-2 Bethesda games next year additionally

Assuming this deal goes through...Microsoft (and the software studios they acquired) are going to hit that number in 2023 in what what many here are calling a 'slow' year for them.

1. Hi-Fi Rush
2. Minecraft Legends
3. Diablo IV
4. Redfall
5. Starfield
6. Whetever Forza game they have lined up
7. Call of Duty
