Does Sony have more money than Microsoft? Did Microsoft decline that game?

The reality is Sony has a position of leadership that affords them the opportunity to go to major publishers and get well known franchises excluded from competing platforms at a level Microsoft doesn’t have.

If this deal was blocked and Microsoft took the money they were going to use on it and said we’ll pay Activision say $20 billion dollars for a 3 year exclusive contract where they only make games on Xbox you know damn well you’d cry foul about it.

If Microsoft can’t buy exclusive rights to the milk why shouldn’t they not buy the cow? How can the same Sony that cuts these deal to keep games off rival platforms and services go run to governments and cry about a competitor who proposes to buy a company possibly having the ability to basically do what Sony does now through deals with publishers?

Sony get a lot of the deals done due to Japan's xenophobia but if you bring that up it annoys the weebs. Sega is the only company over there that actually does fair business and they started here.

Sony gets deals and contracts done on more than just Japanese games. If you were a publisher you gonna do an exclusive deal with Sony or Microsoft? Even if Sony pays you slightly less you’ll make up for that in game sales and micro transactions to a larger player base.

If you’re Microsoft and you’re doing a deal like that you’d have to dramatically overpay to get it done. If you gotta do that then why not just buy the company that makes the game you want?

People try to act cute but these tech market leaders are entrenched in the positions they have. Unless you can make a product that makes theirs obsolete or you start throwing around crazy money you aren’t gonna walk into any of their sectors and disrupt them.

Currently, yes. Coming off the Xbox360/Ps3 era when they were basically tied? That wouldn't make sense, unless Capcom and Square had foresight machines that knew the Xbox one launch was going to be horrible due to bad PR and social media bots. It looks like good business now because Sony has the lead.

The perks Sony is getting through its COD marketing deal are a bunch of EXP and Battle Pass tokens and a few extra cosmetics. All this shyt is pretty much inconsequential to players a couple weeks after launch.

When MS had the marketing deal, they were getting new maps weeks to a month before PS platforms, and then another month before PC players. Obviously Sony is going to protect themselves from a situation like this again.

But hey, lets turn off our brains and blindly push these stupid console war narratives.

Yeah, like i was told when xbox bought bethesda and locked those games to their “ecosystem” you can play them in more places than before.
