I'm not one of those idiots who thought Kobe quit...esp after putting up 50 in Game 6.
In the second half of game 7 he did quit. It was over by then anyway. We were getting blown out even when Kobe was hitting everything under the sun in the first half.

So, kobe failed miserably against the pissedons in 2004, shot airballs against the jazz, lost to the suns after being up 3-1, and has been knocked out in the second round despite having alot of talent around him the last two years.

But, you will selectively ignore his failures, and selectively ignore Bron's successes because it doesn't fit your narrative.

Go sit down for a while and carefully consider your choices in life.

Who has him as the best player in NBA in 98 or 04??

No one player wins every year...again who has kobe as the best player in NBA the past two yrs??

Laker fans speak on Kobe's failure a lot more than Haters speak on his success and Bron fans speaking on Bron's failures.

For a dude who has won a whole hell of a lot, his failures get brought up waaaaaaaaaaay more than any player with his success.

No player's failures have been brought up more than LeBron's. Stop kidding yourself.

OK so he didn't quit when it was 2-1, he quit when it was 3-3 :childplease:
:what:

He came out scoring and was still down by 15 points at half. Phil came with a different gameplan and Kobe heeded the plan. Them scrubs like Kwame/Luke/Cook/Smush couldn't make a basket and they lost.

The Suns like they did in 93 were just too much talent for the overmatched Lakers in a 7 game series. It took Kobe 50 pts in Game 6 and they still lost. Suns were clearly the better team. The Celtics and Magic were clearly not better than the Cavs.

I don't feel Kobe was clearly the best player in 06. You can make case for Bron Wade and even Nash.

Not really. Kobe didn't even bother to playmake. Didn't even try to attack to create better looks for his teammates etc. He knew it was over at that point. He flat out quit.

Suns were clearly the better team.
True.

The Celtics and Magic were clearly not better than the Cavs.
Yes, they were. It was obvious when they matched up.

I don't feel Kobe was clearly the best player in 06. You can make case for Bron Wade and even Nash.
:laff: :laff: :laff: :what::what::what:

You need to quit watching basketball and stick to praying to Allah. NBA ain't for you son.

I don't know why people are still trying to justify what was done. Whatever plan was there, Kobe sabotaged it. If the plan was to get the teammates involved, that didn't mean pass the ball to Luke Walton at the top of the key and then stand out of the play while those guys tried to play 4 on 5. If you're going to talk about playoff failures keeping players out of the best player category, Kobe's bullshyt antics belong way up in that conversation.

If Bron had 5 rings like Kobe his failures would not be brought up like Kobe's have been the past few yrs.

After Kobe won w/o Shaq it made EVERY hater :why: Not only did Kobe with w/o Shaq they were wrong. That was like getting stabbed and shot. So they speak on his failures incessantly to lessen the pain of Kobe :win:: and them :dead:

You originally said

how can any of you morons say Bron was better than anyone when _PRIOR_ to this year he always choked or quit when it mattered?

THe point was, you were wrong.

SO then I selectively brought up Kobe's failure to match you selectively bringin up Lebron's.

Now that we're on the same page, continue making your point.
