Ok. I see what you're saying. I misread it.
Bam's face said it all. He went to the Tower for Rachel.
Although Rachel's face said it all last episode, she is Sociopathic; fake smiles. She never wanted to be true friends with Bam, just like Hoh, but Bam, who wasn't use to social interaction, couldn't see it coming.
I expect Season 2 for Bam to understand/cut ties with Rachel.

I'm not one of them. I loved the shyt out of this, even the changes.
Well.... except that glowing hand stuff.
Only real gripe I have is with the sound. It has this.... american animation sound to it, if that makes sense.
and the fact the huge hype train it rode in on made a lot of folks watch it expecting perfection.

man i forgot what it was like to freshly hate Rachel but I feel it all over again
I'm on Chapter 203 right now and some of these chapters are long as hell.
I can't see how they can do Season 2 proper w/ anything less than probably 65 episodes (so basically 2-3 anime seasons) even with generous cuts.

Eps 9 and 11 were dope, 9 was like a damn movie
They are doing a pretty meh job at explaining things tho, takes the oomph out of a LOT of stuff imo.
Feels like they're tryna pull an Attack on Titan and skip over mad stuff so the anime just ends up being a highlight reel with SOME context but not enough, especially for a show so big on world building
I only read the manga for Attack on Titan, but what you described is exactly how this season felt to me. I'm really hoping they rushed this one to try and get past what most consider the prologue because they straight up dropped the ball at points (even simple stuff like mentioning the safe zones in the Hide and Seek game). I do think this second half of episodes has had a lot of payoff, episodes 9, 11 and 12 were serious quality to me. For me it's kinda like this has been a strong showing for a debut anime but it just misses the overall impact the webtoon had with all its comprehensiveness.
I think they'll need to split it into at least two parts. Maybe they could cut off at Arlene's hand and then the next season could be build-up to the Work Shop battle and the Work Shop Battle itself. I'd love them to treat the Work Shop Battle similar to a typical tournament arc and dedicate a TON of show time to it...When I think back on my most memorable arcs the Work Shop Battle and the Name Hunt Station are the first two to come to mind.

The lasting image I have of Rachel is with a bloody knife in her hand, but now that you mention it I think that's from when she chopped up the speedster's legs...It's gonna be fun watching Rachel become anime Joffrey for the show watchers.
She really is like Joffrey as played by Sean Combs, bruh. She's detestable and loathed universally by everyone who has read the manga, but she continues to be all up in the videos, dancin.
Bam need to come to Death Ro... FUG fr fr. And Rachel need to take a nap in bedrock. I was thinking about it earlier; Boku no Hero is great at making me change my mind about a villain and change my stance on them. Tower of God stays making me feel even more right about hating characters I hate. They just get worse every time they show up. Manga be having me wanting to hit the spongebob meme for a few chapters every time I see that ho yellow hair and eyes.
To my TSC bruhs: Rachel got X-Pac heat with me. And will forever. There can be no redemption. And seeing as I'm nearly 490 chapters in... there hasn't been, either.

then she got bored/tired of him and cut him off REPEATEDLY, in the harshest ways possible.
but AFTER she saw he was going off and doing his own thing, making his own friends, she pulled him back closer with some underhanded shyt
only to cut him off again. In the harshest way possible.
In hindsight, SIU may have been going through some thangs when he started this
