They need to do more research on this stuff. For example, with pedophiles, we know the top 10 professions that contain the most pedophiles because we know their MO- they choose jobs that give them easy access to children. If there are specific behavior patterns of psychopaths or sociopaths, then more rigorous research can be done to determine these things with more accuracy. I feel like this is too close to pop-psychology.

At least some do it consciously. I read an autobiography of a pedophile once for a psychology class, and the dude said he became a camp counselor so that he can pedo on some kids.

You notice most of those professions are very ego driven, and sociopaths are extremely self-centered since they lack empathy. They find the wiring in their brains are all messed up.

One thing studies and medical tests show, sociopaths do not feel fear because their can not process emotions, so if anyone can feel fear they are not a sociopath.
