ok well this is where astronomy is
the telescopes look outwardly FROM the earth and find the same distance in all directions. Which in theory puts the Earth either at or near the center of the universe. Can you disprove this claim?

2. 500 flight years away from the earth is also the centre of the visible universe.
ergo: the centre of the visible universe is not the centre of the actual universe (if the universe has a centre at all).

now mind you, I said that "it appears to be so" not that it is
i just dislike the idea that some ideas are dismissed in totality without full merit
its important to understand that the geocentric model had very unusual understandings of the paths of celestial bodies that ultimately were fixed with heliocentrism
but that doesnt necessarily imply the sun is the center of the universe (or the milky way for that matter)

Whether this is that isnt important as now there is a testimony of the test done on this to see if it is in fact that
the scientific method by definition is proposition and testing

I'm almost convinced Religious people suffer from some form of schizophrenia
I don't have the energy to do back and forths anymore like I would in the 2000s forums, but still want the resources out there for people that want the information that supports the theory of evolution via natural selection.
Talk origins has mountains of evidence, all from peer reviewed sources. They also have an index page for pretty much all of the creationist claims that exist (claims you can see in this very thread), with links to the original claims, and a debunking (with sources).
You can get lost for hours, as I used to back in the day, just reading up on the piles of evidence from various disciplines of science that support the theory.
