So. Cal
But that mix happened all over the Americas, some slaves didn't mix much and retained their Africanness for the most part, mixing alone doesn't separate yall from the continent imo especially since Africans also ended up mixing during colonization but that doesn't take away from the fact that they were originally African. Hell, yall got so many different African tribes and nations within yall blood its hard not to say yall are Africans. Just a special brand, are both of our canvases not the same despite the different painting of our features, cultures, etc?
see what you saying fam. You make a good point.

Some of us were already in America before slavery. America is all we know and we shouldn't break the ties just because.

Alright, since people want consensus, I'll shoot some things I agree on.

1. Let's go to the UN as a collective to make our plight known internationally.

2. Support our businesses. The "Around The Way" app is a must have, it basically outlines black businesses in your city, and it's easy to add black businesses to it as well.

3. Practice group economics, stack up money a few G's with your family, to establish capital(businesses, real estate in developing markets like Detroit).

4. Create our own schools, it doesn't take much. If 5000 people in your neighborhood put up $600, that's $3 million, which should be enough in most areas to buy the land; construct the school, get permits, pay teachers and staff a yearly salary, insurance. If you have any ideas on curriculum, a good person to hit up would be Dr. Umar Johnson, you could tweet him Dr. Umar Johnson (DrUmarJohnson) on Twitter or text him(215-989-9858)

5. Pan-Africanism

6. Come up with a new name for us in America, and have a flag before we address the UN.

If any of you guys agree with anything I posted on, let me know, and I'll discuss it at length.
1. need an important speaker to do that.

2. yeah... we need more businesses to support. Actually, why don't we take the money from the churches - Why do we need millionaire black pastors?

3. Detroit would be great but cac saw the potential before the blacks... Being militant in our choices is a good method.
4. he responds to those text?!? This is a good idea... it has been done and has failed before though.
5. Of course.. and why not the Red Black Green flag??
6. idk

Your right..... but it's not just because. We were in India and many other places before anyone else for long periods of time.... those of course aren't our lands either... we don't have those ties.

Agreed some of yall were here during the beginnings of colonialism as equal citizens, but even then you still trace back to Africa. And I think its safe to say a huge majority of black people didn't willingly migrate here to help the white man for free. :yeshrug:

Edit: This the charter school my lil cousin went to out Uptown DC, whenever I have kids they gon do the same:

Why would Black Americans have ties to Africa but not America?
America belonged to the Natives of the land. IT was stolen by CAC. CAC never wanted us here (as humans), never really wanted us as citizens. When the constitution was created it wasn't created for us. When this nation gained it's freedom and independence... not only were we not free.. CAC 'turned up' the demonic behavior just to make it clear that Black Americans roots aren't here and we are only hear as pets, workers, and entertainers. We have fooled ourselves into believing otherwise. Some white people know the truth. Others are oblivious to the truth - because when you aren't the people who been fked over you don't really think about the irony and fukkery of the situation. Regardless.,, it wasn't until the 1960's (nation was formed long before that) that we even gained Basic human rights barely above that of animals. It's only 50 years past that and we are not Africans.... we weren't born in Africa - most of us don't know our tribe or area... so how can we fully identify?.. we only can identify because its our mother as we are part of the diaspora. But our experience is unique, we are unique, no people has been through what we've been through and have pushed pass so many struggles and barriers as us, so we can be proud with need for improvement.... but we can't really be proud Americans because this nation that we built for cac isn't ours. We are a nation within a nation, but that's just my opinion.

lol, like conscious black people are gonna get together and call themselves ******s United. get real.

You're not understanding y people say go to the UN breh.. it's not because they have power for change, it's not because we want anything from them... MAKE the Case well known and international is all... think of it as a platform.

You do realize that in the 80's and 90's there were black people that came together to form charter schools.. my Main bish went to a Afrocentric HS here. It was good back then... it's basically just like any hood HS in recent times. I'm not saying this isn't our fault... I'm just saying it's hard to maintain that shyt.. We will have to make sure that those school are worth it. It's a Myth that Charter schools are all great solutions and productive educational institutions. Most are just as bad or worse than public schools.

Not all black people are conscious and black people make songs like "nikkas in Paris" so I don't really see what's stopping a negroid from demanding they add nikka to the census

For the love of god I hope motherfukers forget about the UN, that is such a p*ssy move, it's DC or bust for me, I think focusing on domination is more important then begging for attention of the puppet that is called the UN

I realize exactly what I'm saying, and im saying we should destroy the public school system and replace with charters and vouchers, if the school suks then the parent should take their kid out, that is the whole point

we can't destroy the public school system because it isn't ours to destroy. it sucks in America... but the idea of free education supported by the government is excellent. Cuban students do good because of the same principles that makes their healthcare system do well.

And vouchers from where??? from who? And parents can take their kids out of public schools.... at least in the places that I've lived, there has always been school of choice.

I see your point, but i have done my homework on myself..and i'm damn near 10 generations removed from Africa...i have no claim to that land or those nations. Everyone can trace roots to the Motherland. But at what point does a people say "we belong to the land we were born on". At some point Anglo-Saxons had to become the English. The various Romans had to become Italians/Algerian/Swiss/Ottoman ect. you get my point.
