If you want to change something you have to work within the confines of what you're given. We can all sit back and idealize about what would be better all day but with the systems we have in place and a first past the post system is what we've got there will always only be 2 valid candidates. First past the post always converges on 2 candidates.

By abstaining you only tip the scale in favor of the worst possible outcome. The real move is insurgency into the system and placing favorable candidates.

That strategy is outdated. Superpacs, donors, and lobbyists are the only thing Congressional, Senatorial, Presidential candidates care about, period. In the Demoncrats eyes( Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton) your vote has already been bought. So they take colored faces like :obama: and Kamala Harris to hijack our historical birthright as descendants of slaves in Amerikkka to use as a prop and build a network of financial constituency amongst the ELITE. Then you know what happens, right. We come in last. The LGBT, DACA, Syrian Refugees, #METOO , Israel, and any other group or cause will come before us off the back of a that 95% Black Vote. For the sake of our children we have to stop this madness. We are not their slaves.

If all black people stop voting politicians will bake that into their calculations and just stop courting them at all. The Democratic party will likely move further right to compensate or they will just lose continually and Republicans will have an iron hold on government. If you think the Democrats treat blacks like shyt the Republicans will do far worse.

Politicians don't waste their time on segments of the population that don't vote. They'd rather court people that actually vote.

If the goal is to get politicians into office that care about black issues then they'll have to be voted in. You can't do that by not voting. Quite the opposite. It's about mobilizing enough of the population to make a difference in who becomes the party candidate.

The Deep State
I don't see ANY mainstream figures remotely asking for democrats to stop doing this pandering that doesn't focus on policy.

And I disagree with Tariq attacking Kamala Harris out of proportion for her career as a prosecutor. She should be rightly criticized for her pandering

:mindblown:That doesn’t work anymore:snoop:

Special interest groups like the LGBT, DACA , & even POLICE Organizations have lesser numbers but significantly more financial resources to sponsor and influence policy. Our vote means nothing without a financial commitment. So voting becomes nothing more than a ponzi scheme. We caught on to the game with the :obama: hustle.

Like I said if all black people stopped voting it wouldn't improve anything. Black folks are the ones who put Hillary over the top last cycle. Our problem isn't not voting it's voting for who we're told to vote for. Bernie is far from perfect but he was better than Hillary. Southern blacks said fukk it and voted for her anyway.

Because the vote is so split among whites in the party blacks have the potential to be king makers but simply fall in line and vote for the mainstream corporate democrat.
