They did evaluate the guys though. They felt that WCJ wasn't it and upgraded for an all star. Even before getting Vuc, we were trying to swap Lauri for Lonzo. Saying they were going to evaluate didn't mean they weren't going to make any deals if something came available.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but AKME came in saying that they weren't coming in on some rebuilding shyt.
Magloire's made the all star team averaging 14/10.
Vuc averaged 25/12/4 in Orlando this year.
There's been nothing to indicate that they plan on just running the same squad back. Only locks I see on this team for next year are Zach/Vuc/Pat.
Not sure what kind of transformation people were expecting in the less than 7 months since last season ended.

The lonzo I been seeing the past few games outside that bad one, I def would get here to Chicago

With the way Lonzo has been playing as of late it wouldn't surprise me if N.O. just elects to match any deal presented and keep him to see how much he can continue to develop... He'll still have trade value for them even if they decide later to move on ... This is why you have to have foresight on players trajectories...if you wait until a guy starts apexing the price is going to get to the point where you may see some inflation... AK should have done whatever was need at the deadline to get him at the very least to control his bird rights ... Now we're left hoping/praying he chooses us and also that N.O. doesn't change their opinion on him and elect to match
