I mean, all reports from the jump said this year was going to be an evaluation year for the players, see who was worth keeping or not.AKME are in a grace period bc we had to deal with garpax so long but I havent been impressed so far

Hopefully they have some tricks up their sleeve for next year
AKME better pull a rabbit out of their collective hat this summer or it might get hot for those dudes... the trade deadline "win now" splash moves have been an unmitigated failure this season ... Don't know how even the biggest homer can even lie to themselves about that fact...No playoffs No Play In No "winning culture" No "reputation shift" it's actually been worse than even my pessimistic Outlook projected ... We are currently now relying on TANKING yet again ...and make no mistake if we we're to get our pick this year it will be purely because TANKING worked for us and that's an interesting position to be in ..considering the general shift from the fanbase in it's appetite to "chase after draft picks"AKME are in a grace period bc we had to deal with garpax so long but I havent been impressed so far

I still like like Vucevic addition. Where we part is you all saw that as a win now move and if it didn't immediately pan out then the trade was bad. I'm seeing it as a move for the future. Sorta in the sense if we went into the off season with max cap space and Vucevic was on the market and we grabbed him. This was a route that was necessary. Free agents were not coming here on their own will on Vucevic level. So the only other way to make that happen is through trade.Like someone said earlier I'm giving them a grave period. I don't blame them for trying to see what the ceiling of this current core is and trying to win considering Zach can leave. The team is underperforming, but they didn't build this core, they just added to it.
I would've rather they committed further to building through the draft but as you saw even in this thread the fanbase was ready to win and have a winning culture. Some of us like myself and @Left.A1 didn't like the Vucevic trade but most of us was rocking with that "winning culture" narrative.
I mean there is a huge difference between 32% & 20% - we really need to stay ahead (or behind?) the Kings & RaptorsEither the bulls jump to the top 4 or they won’t , odds percentages etc don’t mean nothin to me cuz the lakers, grizzlies and Pelicans had lower odds and moved up
if they do it changes everything for the franchise.if they don’t then they gotta make trades to free up some cap space.I Hope lonzo #1 priority dude been hoopin
Since Randles cap hold is going to be so low (less than max) the Knicks will have the money to comfortably sign Lonzo to let's say a deal at $22 million a year then ALSO max Zach at $34million and still resign Randle for a max deal as well ... They have damn near 0 contracts on their books next summer ...they will be a threat to our internal and external targetsthats the only team i was legit worried about , if they kant get dame im expectin a hard push for zac... randle is better then vucc , the team currently constructed top to bottom is better then the bulls and well the coach , plus its the mecca
i dont see knicks wantin to drop a bag for lonzo , unless zac resigns here

No incentive anymore to win, we cant get the play in
The Lakers only had a 9.4 percent chance of jumping into the top four, as they entered the night in the No. 11 spot.
New Orleans leaped up from the seventh spot to the top of this year's draft Tuesday night, earning the right to take Zion Williamson next month. The Pelicans had just a 6 percent chance to win the lottery.
After a wild series of events in Tuesday evening’s NBA Draft Lottery, the Grizzlies defied their eighth-best odds to secure a top-four pick.
Having stronger odds hadn’t mattered yet

It will be interesting to see if they bring Zach back at allI know but just going off the last 2 lottery results since they changed it up

Does anyone know the future protections on these picks if they dont convey? I cant find it anywhere
our max offer to Zach will always trump any max he can get on the open market
assuming we want to keep him, and next season isnt a complete disaster, I really dont see him turning down the extra $$ we can offer
zach lavine isn’t a free agent til July 1st 2022
it’s top 4 protected in ‘21 & ‘23 if the bulls keep the pick its unprotected in ‘22
Im talking about bringing Zach back to play this season
Im talking about bringing Zach back to play this season because how it could affect our lottery %
