Kyries overall impact on the series was greater than LeBron fom the perspective of what we believed we'd get to what we actually received.
Going into the finals everyone knew LeBron is the best 2 way player on the court. LeBron will get his stats regardless. Going into the finals everyone said Kyrie would be a defensive liability and would get cooked by Curry.
Not only was Kyrie not a defensive liability, he played great defense vs curry. Only players to take advantage of his was Liv in the first 2 games and Klay from a stretch because of there height.
Look we know Bron will get his numbers. But when it came to the most impactful buckets Kyrie was getting them. You want to talk about defensive impact but LeBron wasn't even the most impactful defensive player in the series. That was Tristan hands down. Dude shut down curry on every switch.
Despite the numbers Kyrie had a bigger offensive impact on the game than LeBron. LeBron had a greater defensive impact as a team defender but when it comes to expectations Kyries exceeded his defensive impact by leaps and bounds. A dude who was supposed to be a defensive liability turned into a plus defender the best offense and the best offensive players in the league while also going insane offensively. That's why he should've been finals MVP IMO. It's not like I'm mad Bron got it cause he clearly also deserved it being the best player out there, but I feel like the real difference in the series was Kyrie outperforming the MVP.
Just all hate in this post brehHonestly Kyrie showed more Heart this game then Bron ever did, Yeah that nikka Bron stats were better, but Kyrie points were more impactful.
Those 3 games were elimination games dumbass. That's another reason what made this Finals performance so historical
It is similar to if Kobe did the same thing in 2008 instead of blowing a 24 point lead at home and getting blown out by 40
And in those last three. Kyrie was the one with 70% FG for 41, set the TONE the 1st half opening the huge lead before the foot injury. And saved the CAVS in that 2nd half of game seven. LeBron mainly get his due for just that 2nd half of game 6 over Kyrie..
I'm my own spokesman. This dumbed down mocking shyt is trash. This post is stupid
Lebron had more steals AND blocks therefore you sound crazy talking about kyrie should be mvp
Either one of 5 things is happening:
A. You dont understand the importance of defense
B. You dont realize steals and blocks is a part of defense
C. You dont realize lebron had more steals than kyrie
D. You dont realize lebron had more blocks than kyrie
E. You dont realize lebron had more steals AND blocks than kyrie
Yeah i understand kyrie guarded curry for the majority of the series, but how can you say he guarded him well? Where the steals at? Where the blocks at?
Its like you guys like in this alternate reality where killing another teams momentum or consistently coming through with big shots while your team is in a drought is supposed to carry a bunch of weight
N*ggas have just thrown steals and blocks out the window in favor of offense
When has clutch offense EVER been valued more than steals and blocks?
@NYC Rebel no need to reply to this guy , i got him for you bro :saute:
:Khaled voice: They don't want Bron to have actual help .
Who said Bron did it Alone?:Khaled voice: They don't want Bron to have actual help .
No they dont
6th man of the year jr smith
Kevin love was considered to be a top 10-15 player before cleveland
Kyrie is the 3rd best pg in the league
Tristan thompson is an incredible defender and great offensive rebounder
Other solid specialist role players
Theyre talented on paper, But NONE of these n*ggas rack up steals and blocks
Who said Bron did it Alone?
Answering questions with your own now?You see it
You tell me.
points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks ...at some point you guys have to be rational and put aside bias. For the Stat whores that don't watch the game, that is most definitely a compelling argument but everyone knows that pure statistics don't tell the entire story. Basketball is a game of runs. The players that can take over the game and set the tone of the match tend to be more valuable in my book that those players that simply pad stats for the record keepers (Not that i'm accusing Bron of doing so this series..) Anyway i personally feel Kyrie set the tone for the Cavs offense more often than not this series, especially game 7.
Overall this was clearly a great TEAM effort on the part of the Cavs, but i do believe Kyrie did more of the heavy lifting, especially when it came down to bailing them out on the offensive end. And those ebbs and flows of the game is something that the STATS dont tell you.

its not like he looked trash in game, you could see the impact.
